How to accept and decline pupils we send you
Learn how to accept, decline and update the office on different situations when they are sent to you.
When the driveJohnson's Bookings Team sends you a pupil, you will receive a notification on your phone. You will need to tell us whether you want to accept the pupil, decline them or update us on their situation.
Accepting a pupil is very easy - just tap the notification on your phone and tap the Accept
button on the pupil's booking profile. Once you accept, the pupil is yours and will now show in your Active Pupils
section of the app.
If you would like the pupil, but are not in a position to accept them just yet, you can press the Update Office
button instead. This will give you a couple of options to update us on the situation.
The first option is if you have contacted the pupil but they are not responding to you. If you choose this option, the Bookings Team will try to contact the pupil to resolve the situation.
The second option is if you have contacted the pupil and need to let the office know what is going on. For example, you are waiting for further information from them before committing to the lesson.
To decline the pupil, tap the Decline
button. This will present you with some options - if you give us a reason why you don't want the pupil, it will help us to help you in future and better tailor the pupils we send to you.
The first option is for if you are fully booked. Choosing this option will switch on 'No More Pupils' and we won't send any more pupils to you until you switch off 'No More Pupils' again.
The second option is if you don't want the pupil resent to you at all, and you will be required to write a reason in the box so we can understand the situation.
The third option is for if you cannot do the date and time of the lesson. This will require you to enter an alternative date or time for the lesson.
The fourth and final option is for if you have contacted the pupil and tried to arrange a date and time for the lesson with them but couldn't reach an agreement.
It is important that you accept or decline pupils as quickly as possible to help us avoid disappointing the pupil and re-allocate them if necessary.
