Passed my driving test in 1997, “second time!”. Love to drive and over the years developed many habits thinking I am the best. Always ahead of traffic, trying to go bit faster, cutting corners and overtaking when I had a chance. Although to my satisfaction it was all good, I did face the consequences of overlooking certain elements. It was when I decided to become an instructor that I scrutinised myself, my behaviour, attitude, attention, concentration, safety, speed, time, distance, the law and adapted driving in accordance with the Highway Code. I found myself driving much smoother, enjoyable and actually faster driving at the speed limit. I fine tuned my driving so much that passing my test 1st time was effortless. A-piece-of-cake!
