Hi, I’m Mike – a calm, supportive, and structured driving instructor based in Newport South Wales . My background is in training, mentoring, and professional services. I’ve always enjoyed helping people develop practical life skills. I decided to become an instructor because I wanted to make a real difference in people’s lives and I'm now teaching with a PDI licence from the DVSA. Teaching someone to drive isn’t just about passing a test – it’s about giving them the confidence to be safe and independent on the road. I get a real buzz from seeing learners progress, especially those who start out unsure. Every pupil is different, so I tailor each lesson to their pace and learning style to help them grow in confidence, skill, and self-belief.

Memorable Moment

One of my most memorable moments was helping a pupil who was struggling with clutch control and nearly gave up. With patience and support, they stuck at it – and eventually passed their test.
