I came to driveJohnson’s from another training provider. Unfortunately 50% of my very expensive course was online based training and the other 50% was two to one which in hindsight I wouldn’t sign up to again.

I was quite fortunate to work under Anthony Johnson’s wing, he came out and sat in the arc of some of my sessions and I completed several training sessions with him and Lewis.

I thankfully passed on my first trainee licence with driveJohnson’s.

I spent several weeks considering my options for a part 3 sponsor, speaking to many different suppliers. I connected with Anthony the first time we spoke, his support and honesty was refreshing after speaking with so many that promised so much yet had little substance when questioned. I really liked that with only 4 weeks notice driveJohnson's needed to deliver on their commitment or would loose business and as a package was the sponsor I happily decided to partner with.

The set up was seamless, the driveJohnson's app and the office support are excellent, with students added into my online diary 2 weeks prior to my start date and literature and roof box delivered the same week. I had a full diary and the only hold up was waiting for my pink license from the DVSA.

Anthony shared training material held occasional webinars and recommended a 1st class part 3 trainer.
I'm pleased to say that I joined driveJohnson's on the 11th October 2021 and with the help and support of AJ passed my Part 3 on the 19th Jan 2022 on the first attempt.

I started off as a complete novice towards driving tuition and Anthony grew an ADI out of me. Nothing and I mean nothing is ever to much for Anthony and his team. Anthony gave me more than I needed to pass my part 3 ADI test.

He put me in touch with some of the best people I have ever met who shared knowledge I will keep for many years to come. I listened to Anthony's advice and it paid off massively and have now gained my ADI badge. Anthony will be a friend for life and I mean that as he is one of the good guys out there who help you gain your goal. I rate the whole team 10 out of 10 as you will find out for yourself when you join the team.

The road to being an ADI was a latter thought to me, I had always been “happily” employed in other professions before that path was abruptly closed and employment options became limited.

At this point I did a bit of soul searching and tried to establish what I could do, my most obvious “skill” was driving!! I had done this for 37 years and had also achieved a PCV Licence so what could I do with this experience?

Driving Tuition was the obvious path (or road) to take and that’s where my biggest decision became apparent. Who do I contact? Where do I place my trust?

I did a tremendous amount of research and realised that there was a cost involved, driveJohnson's were reasonably priced and at that point I lodged an enquiry and Anthony Johnson soon called back and explained everything in detail. No extravagant claims, just how they could help me achieve my goal.

The training received was brilliant, after I passed Part One I was appointed a mentor who took me under his wing and couldn’t have been more helpful. After driving for 37 years and thinking I was the bees knees Blair took me for a driving assessment and picked up a few areas that needing improving to get me to the desired level………he was very calm throughout our training sessions which put me totally at ease. On the day of my Part Two (Practical Driving) test Blair actually drove all the way to Dundee to accompany me to the Test Centre. It was the self belief that he instilled in me that led to me passing my test with only one minor driving fault. Even after passing my Part Two when we were out in the car he would expect high driving standards from me, he never let my driving drift and kept me at a certain level……..obviously, when I start to train pupils my driving has to be exemplary and that is why he never let me away with anything.

After passing my Part Two, Blair had called Anthony who was anxious to hear the result……..yes, he cares - we are not just numbers so instantly I felt valued.

Blair trained me for my Part 3, I found this a very daunting prospect but he broke it down to manageable chunks which made it easier to understand. I gained a lot of experience and knowledge from sitting in the back of Blair’s car while he conducted lessons. He is absolutely brilliant and had a great relationship with all his pupils. We also had individual training sessions in the car and after my 40 hours of training were complete we discussed the option of going for a “Pink” or PDI Licence. The decision was made to go for my PDI Licence and actually start teaching!! I was new to this and in the early days relied heavily on Anthony and Blair for advice, both had all the time in the world to answer my questions and Anthony was also very supportive with corporate advice, with regards to Car Livery and Admin etc

Anthony and the Office team at Milton Keynes were very helpful and before long I was receiving a stream of pupils, the training continued and Blair would accompany me on my lessons with “real” pupils and we would have discussions after each lesson about ways in which I could improve my teaching ability. Gradually his list of bullet points would diminish and I was ready to book my Part Three. Once we had a date for this, our focus moved onto the specifics of the format the test would take……..during the ongoing training prior to my Part Three Anthony played a big part in my training and I never felt that I was alone in my training. Every question that I had was answered, and every time I wobbled and had self doubt both Anthony and Blair took the time to steady me.

Blair spent a long time with me ensuring that I had the tools with which to pass the Part Three, and again he accompanied me to the Test Centre and I passed. My nerves were jangling but I achieved a pass and at last could call myself an ADI.

To put their training in context, I actually passed my Parts One, Two and Three at the first attempt which puts me in a unique club of people who become an ADI at the first attempt - something only around 12% of candidates achieve - and that is largely attributable to driveJohnson's.

I cannot rate the training offered by driveJohnson highly enough, with most companies I researched it appeared that the motto could have been “Profit Before People” with high franchise costs. Anthony’s ethos is different, every Franchisee is a member of the driveJohnson's family and you actually feel valued. I know that if I have an issue, I have a wealth of experience at the end of a telephone that I can tap into……….I also know that if I need it, Blair will be down to Dundee at the drop of a hat to help me out.

I am aware that a lot of ADIs choose to go solo to avoid franchise costs etc, I was pleasantly surprised at how reasonable Anthony’s franchise fees are……..I cant ever see a situation where I would leave driveJohnson as I am so well supported and have a constant stream of pupils and a full diary - I would whole heartedly propose that anyone thinking about becoming an ADI, give Anthony a call and get yourself on the road to success!!

I just passed my ADI part 3 with an A grade. I want to give a massive thank you to everyone at driveJohnson's for all the exceptional support and guidance I got during my time as a trainee licence holder. You always made sure I had enough work to keep myself busy. You've always been completely flexible with my times and, best of all, you've always only been a phone call away which really helped with the process, because I knew I had the support of a great team behind me.

I started my training with driveJohnson’s in 2017. I was very fortunate to have a fantastic trainer who helped me pass all the exams first time. Since qualifying I have progressed with the company achieving a Grade A in my recent standards check and I am now part of the instructor training team helping others achieve their goal of becoming a driving instructor. I would recommend driveJohnson’s to anyone who wants to feel part of a family who cares. They will look after you, I’ve never heard anyone say a bad word about the owner or the company since joining them.

My brother and sister trained with driveJohnson’s and they both passed all the exams first time time so it was a no brainer for me to train with the company too. I was very fortunate to pass both the Part 2 and 3 first time too. I can definitely say it’w no coincidence we all passed first time. My trainer and driveJohnson’s were very supportive throughout and even now whenever I need some advice my trainer is just a phone call away.

I was very unsure about which company I should choose to help me become a driving instructor. After meeting Anthony at his office it was a done deal. I could see how much he cared and I was happy to put my trust in him and his team.I was allocated Rob Bostridge as my trainer and I couldn’t have asked for a better person. He’s a fantastic trainer. I passed my Part 2 & 3 first time, I don’t think I could have done it without Rob. As a company driveJohnson’s have been extremely supportive to me as PDI an ADI.

For 36 years I was a teacher. I finished my teaching in a local school and, before I left, I asked my Sixth Form which driving school they liked having driving lessons from. The straw poll saw driveJohnson's on top by a long way. I decided to contact driveJohnson's where I was offered training and provided an instructor who was outstanding. After passing my tests, I became an instructor in December of 2014.

What I enjoyed about it was the support, initially from Anthony, where we talked about purchasing cars, how I got my insurance organised. We then talked about franchise charges, which suited me to the ground, as I didn't want to work full-time after retiring so it was a part-time franchise. I was quite pleased in comparison to other franchises, it was quite easily the best I could've had. So I decided driveJohnson's was for me - and I stayed with driveJohnson's because the number of students I was able to get on a regular basis was so easy. I didn't have to advertise or go cold-calling and there was often an abundance of pupils to the point I had to close my diary.

The office staff were very friendly and very receptive of what I asked of them, very happy to cater for my needs.

You have to look at what's out there - driveJohnson's was by far the best I could find and I've enjoyed working with them, hoping to work with them a lot longer as well.

I cannot thank driveJohnson's and the team enough. I came into this field completely blind to the industry. I left my job at the bank and decided to take the plunge into self-employment and a whole new career change.

My training for my part 2 was incredible. I considered myself a good driver, but after taking lessons with Lee, he showed me to the potential safe level driving could achieve. He took so much time preparing me for my part 2, I had no worries at all I would pass first time!

Once I joined driveJohnson's on my trainee licence, I was provided with as many students I wanted at a very fast pace. The office was always on hand for any help needed and Anthony Johnson himself was only ever a phone call or text away. I felt at such ease taking my gamble of a new career. It settled all nerves.

Training for my part 3, once again was in so much detail, I truly believe I would not be the qualified instructor I became to be. Again, I have so much to thank Lee for. He answered ever single question I ask and gave incredible advice to ensure I passed my part 3 first time.

As a whole, the driveJohnson's franchise is worth every single penny I pay. The director, Anthony, has gone above and beyond for me. I had to go through getting 2 vehicles stolen just a month into starting my instructor journey. Without him, I would of struggled so much more with work, sorting out a new work vehicle. Without any hesitation he went above and beyond for me. I know, if I joined any other franchise, I would just be another number on their books, with driveJohnson's you become part of the family.

Could not recommend this company enough for your part 2, part 3 and your franchise choice.

I was recommended to driveJohnson's by a few friends who are franchising with the company.
Although my trainer was external to driveJohnson's the company welcomed him training me and worked with us both to achieve my goal of passing the Part 3. Whilst on my trainee licence I attended several free training online training sessions which really helped me understand the marking sheet. When I needed another trainee licence they also went above and beyond. The office support and extra training has been very helpful.

Having made the decision in early 2021 to become a driving instructor, I rang around a few different companies, all of which offered differing levels of training at vastly differing prices. None of them filled me with much confidence, until I came across DriveJohnson’s. A chat with Anthony made me quickly realise that this was the training option (and subsequent franchise) I was looking for. The whole team have been friendly, supportive and approachable from the very beginning.

My training was excellent throughout, with no pressure put on me to move too quickly, and no pressure to join the franchise when the time came (although given the support I’d already received, it was a no brainer anyway).

When the time came to start instructing on my trainee badge, work came quickly. Within a few weeks I had a diary with exactly the number of pupils I needed to get going. Anthony and his team helped me apply for the ‘pink badge’ required to start teaching, my roof box arrived in plenty of time, and there was always someone at the end of the phone to answer any questions I had.

I’ve now been instructing for 6 months, and the support is exactly the same as it was at the beginning. I’m now fully qualified, (passed first time thanks to the support from Anthony and his team) and look forward to remaining with the driveJohnson’s ‘family’ for years to come.

I would strongly recommend driveJohnson’s for anyone considering a career in driving instructing.

I trained with Ben and Saqib at driveJohnson’s and I was very fortunate to pass first time scoring an A grade 46 out of 51.

My best advice to anyone looking to become a driving instructor is put your trust in driveJohnson’s, listen to your trainer 100% and avoid the racket on social media instructor groups where everyone thinks they are an expert.

I genuinely put a lot of effort in to make it happen and with the right guidance I got a very good score on my first attempt.
