Mishearing the odd direction is normal; just ask the examiner in plenty of time so you can continue to plan and drive safely.

This entirely depends on the road conditions near where you are. If it is icy, but you will be driving on main roads that are gritted, then your driving lessons may well still go ahead. Your driving instructor will be able judge whether it will be safe for you to either go ahead with your lesson as planned, adapt it to make it safe or cancel if it's not safe. If they need to cancel, they will be in touch with you to do so and rearrange your lesson for another time.
