Top instructors!!! Sadly my 1st instructor become ill during my lessons so he couldn’t carry on but I called the office and got someone new to take over straight away.

Very proud of my daughter for passing her test 1st time today with 3 minor faults. What an achievement!! Can’t thank you enough, will definitely be recommending you.

I booked my dad in for some refresher lessons due to his age, to make sure he was safe out on the roads. He was allocated to this instructor and felt really good about the lessons after having them. The instructor was considerate and aware that my dad knew what he was doing, but just needed to brush up on a few bits. Will always recommend you to anyone needing lessons!!

Baldev was my instructor for the last few months. I can't thank him enough and praise his teaching methods. He was patient, calm and a font of knowledge. His guidance helped me get rid of anxiety behind the wheel and I am forever grateful. I was a lapsed learner and the previous instructor has put me off learning to drive, while Baldev has been very understanding and supportive of this mum of two under fives and I passed my test. Good luck Baldev and thank you.

Best automatic driving instructor around. Make sure you learn with Baldev as he is superb!

Baldev is a great instructor, and I wouldn't have passed without his help.

Good service, good value for money & friendly staff/instructors. Was really pleased with the instructor that I was given.

Thank you for helping me pass first time, Baldev. I couldn't have done this without you and driveJohnson's support.

The best automatic driving instructor you could ask for. He made everything super easy to learn, and it allowed me to fly through my lessons and pass my test first time with only two minors.

I had a great time, and Baldev was super friendly. I can't recommend him enough.

I am over the moon to now be able to drive, all thanks to Baldev. He is fantastic, and if you need an instructor, make sure you choose him.

I have only positive things to say about Baldev Balli. He is an outstanding instructor, and I am so happy to have learned under him.

I cannot recommend Baldev enough! Having been learning on and off for 9 years, I've had many instructors but I'm so glad I found him. He was so accommodating, patient and taught me in the best way possible. Passed first time all thanks to him!!

I loved learning with driveJohnson's and Baldev. Everything was super simple from the first lesson to the app, and there was no messing around or funny business.

Can’t recommend my Baldev enough, we got on so well and they never messed me about. Really good quality.

Baldev is a top trainer, and I never had any issues. He has a great car as well.

I had my first ever lessons with him a few days ago, I was soooooo scared but we did loads and I am really excited now to carry on. Really good instructor!!

Fantastic instructor and made sure to never mess me around. Thank you for everything, Baldev!

Fantastic experience learning with Baldev, and it was amazing to see how he breaks everything down to make it super simple. Baldev, you are amazing!

Thank you for helping me pass fast, it is great to now be a fully qualified driver.

Test tip of the month for Beaconsfield

You can fail your test for driving too slow or too fast. Don't make sudden changes if you sense the examiner is looking over at your speedo. Just gently come off the gas or gently apply more depending on if you are going too slow or fast.

Useful driving test tip for Beaconsfield Show more

Useful driving test tip for Beaconsfield

It’s common when turning left at a blind T-junction to look right and only look left when the car goes into a new road. You will often get away with this, but now and again, something will be there, like a parked car or a pedestrian about to walk out. On your test, you’ll fail, and in real life, you’ll have a severe accident. Be sure to do the minimum observations for T-junctions: right, left, right and then look into the road before you emerge into it!

Frequently asked questions...

Do you offer intensive driving courses in Beaconsfield?

At driveJohnson's we specialise in intensive driving courses in Beaconsfield. Unlike other driving school that offer intensive courses, our courses are actually tailored to each individual, helping you to learn faster.

We understand that everyone is different and everyone's driving needs are unique; that's why we start all of our courses with a 2-hour assessment lesson to see where you're at and put an intensive course together for you.

What's it like having driving lessons in Beaconsfield?

As a growing market town just off the M1, Beaconsfield is a fantastic location to introduce you to a tonne of different road types and slowly build up the confidence to tackle trickier situations. When taking driving lessons in Beaconsfield, you’ll be surrounded by nearby towns such as Gerrards Cross and High Wycombe, all of which are less than 5 miles away from the centre. This means you’ll have plenty of different towns to explore during lessons and you’ll never get bored on the same old roads.

What will I be doing during my first driving lesson in Beaconsfield?

Your first lesson probably won’t be in central Beaconsfield as there are multiple different primary and secondary schools, which means there will be a lot of pedestrians, parked cars and crossings. Instead, your instructor is likely to take you past the train station over to Knotty Green, an ideal location for beginners who just want to grasp the basics of driving. The area is a very quiet housing estate with hardly any cars parked on the side of the road and lots of little, simple junctions to experiment with. Campbell Drive and Seeleys Road, in particular, are perfect for taking your time to not only get used to the controls but also nail manoeuvres later on down the line.

How will you prepare me for my driving test in High Wycombe?

As your test approaches, it’ll be time to go a little outside of your comfort zone and use the ‘A’ roads to your advantage. The A355 over to the tricky Pyebush Roundabout will give you the opportunity to familiarise yourself with joining busy dual carriageways, such as the A40 using feeder lanes. If you’re feeling particularly brave, why not try your hand at the A335 roundabout that goes over the M40? Although you don’t have to go on the motorway, it will give you a chance to understand multiple-lane systems.
