Paul Houghton is a great instructor, I learnt a lot with him and he has a lot of patience for new learners. I would recommend anyone that wants to start taking lessons to take them with him.
I phoned the drive Johnsons office and spoke to a really bubbly lady who advised me to take 2 hours per lesson which is brilliant advice because I would never learn in just a 1 hour lesson so anyway after 34 hours I passed my practical which I’m so happy with.
Was so nervous to start driving but Paul instantly made me feel at ease and safe. Paul is so good at what he does and helped me learn so quickly. Can't thank you enough!

after failing my test 4 times with another company I came to Johnsons for a fresh start and im so lucky I did as my instructor paul gave it his all to help me pass.
I called Drive Johnsons for some advise as I had never had lessons before, I spoke to a really nice lady on the phone who advised me to start with an introductory lesson. I was really pleased with how well both the office staff and my instructor dealt with my needs and could fit me in up to my test day which I passed. Thanks for all your help. My parents had brought me a voucher for some lessons for my Birthday so I could start my lessons and im so glad they found Drive Johnsons as I passed my test today with 3 minor faults.
I got my son some lessons from driveJohnsons, it was really simple to call & get them as a gift and they managed to arrange for Paul to arrive on his 17th Birthday for his first lesson. You can go over them slightly but imagine a car was parked in the bay. If you think you would hit it, then stop and adjust.

If you make a mistake on your driving test try not to dwell on it. What you think is serious, the examiner may not. So put it to the back of your mind and focus on the road ahead. The better the overall drive the more the examiner may be forgiving for that certain fault you thought you might have failed on.

Bicester is a great place for beginners to start learning to drive. With its quiet, residential roads, your driving instructor will be able to start you practicing away from traffic. They will take you to a road such as Willow Road, where you can master basics like moving off and stopping the car, clutch control, changing gears and then move on to turning left and right and emerging from T Junctions.
Once you are feeling more confident, you will tackle the busier A roads, leaving Bicester and conquering the fast, narrow rural roads that surround the town. You may also have driving lessons in Oxford, particularly if your driving test is there, so that your instructor can get you familiar and confident with the challenges you might face on your driving test.
