Before I started lessons, I was really nervous, I wasn't sure what kind of person would be teaching me. We have all heard those horrible instructor horror stories 😆 🤣. But I honestly couldn't have hoped for a better instructor. Helen was amazing, adapting lessons to my needs and making sure I was 100% test ready. And on January 4th 2025 I passed first time!! With so many potholes on the roads today, make sure you check your mirrors before you go around them. Try to identify the potholes more than 100 metres away, check your interior and door mirror in good time, then recheck them just before you change direction.

Your driving instructor in Billingshurst will ask you about your previous experience. If you have not had any previous lessons, that is fine as many people have not had any previous experience. During this chat, your driving instructor will also go over the basics of the car, and they will do an eyesight check and check your provisional licence.
Once this is done, your instructor will begin your driving lesson in a quiet area. They will cover moving off and stopping, clutch control, the different pedals and how to steer. You will always begin in a quiet area away from cars and other road users to learn at your own pace.
