You should be able to check your mirrors by moving your eyes - not your head. The examiners are trained to look out for eye checks rather than head movements. Moving your head may cause the examiner to think your mirrors are not set up correctly.

Take your time on your manoeuvre so you can keep your head moving around in all directions. If you see anything coming towards you be prepared to stop; remember it’s their priority. If you stop, don’t forget to look all around you before you start moving again. Lastly, don’t stare at the door mirrors. You can glance at them quickly only to see where you are and what you need to do with your direction.

If you are learning to drive from scratch with us, your driving instructor will firstly concentrate on teaching you the basics and building up your confidence in a quiet residential area in Bishops Cleeve.
