I passed my test yesterday with Drive Johnsons. If I made a mistake Alsitair was professionally correct me and never got annoyed.

Alistair was helpful and very patient when I made a mistake. He was so helpful and helped me with any questions that I had which helped me pass my test.

Great teacher! Learned so much so quickly and enjoyed every minute! Thanks Trevor!

I passed first time!! :D Can’t wait to get on the road now

I will recommend this driving school to all of my friends. I was very happy with how he taught me. He taught me on a great level and correctly on how to pass my practical test.

A great instructor and I have to give him a five star review as if it wasn't for him I wouldn't have been able to pass without his expert teaching and lesson plans.

Big thanks to Trevor, i passed first time thanks to him and his patience! Only had a couple of minors. Will miss our lessons

Alistair was a brilliant instructor. I enjoyed each of my lessons. He explained everything in great detail and I passed me test first time.

Very good driving school, good price and very professional driver.

Can't believe I have passed ad if it wasn't for Trevors teachings I would still be needing to take a taxi to college and back.

Test Tip Of The Month For Boston

Many learners fail their manoeuvre because they rush it. They get concerned about keeping other road users waiting. It's good to be considerate of other road users, but on your test, you have got to go nice and slow so you have time to do all the observations needed. The faster you do the manoeuvre, the faster your observations should be. You know what to do - keep your speed slow so you have time to observe!

Useful Driving Test Tip For Boston

You can fail your test for driving too slow or too fast. Don't make sudden changes if you sense the examiner is looking over at your speedo. Just gently come off the gas or gently apply more depending on if you are going too slow or fast.

Frequently Asked Questions

When it comes to practising parking, there are several great places that you can go to top up your skills. A great location to practice parking on a small quiet scale is the car park off Tunnard Street. Located on the corner of Tunnard Street and Norfolk Street (A1137), this car park is smaller than others in Boston, but it is also quieter. If you are beginning to attempt parking manoeuvres, then this is the perfect spot as not only can you practice your driving on the route, but you also have lots of areas to practice in without the fear of hitting any other cars.

Once you have grown in confidence and want to challenge yourself more, the next best place to practice parking is the Asda superstore. This is a great place to go to practice your parking because it is similar to other car parks, but you have the option to practice in real-world scenarios. Not only can you practice driving in a car park with moving cars and cars on both sides but there are also sections where you can practice parking without the pressure of other cars.

The nearest test centre is located in Boston on Redstone Industrial Estate. To get to the test centre, you will need to travel along the A16 (Spalding Road) to get onto Redstone Road - which is where the test centre is located.

When it comes to taking your driving test in Boston, your driving instructor will have shown you not only the location of the test centre but also the test routes. We always make sure you are fully prepared and ready for your test. Along with this, we make sure that you get to take a mock test in the hour before your lesson on the day of your test.

When you begin to take driving lessons in Boston with us, your driving instructor will always start by covering several checks and running through the basics with you. These involve an eyesight check, checking your provisional licence and showing you the basics of the car, including how to adjust your seat and mirrors and what each pedal does.

Once this has been covered, your instructor will then take you to a quiet area where you can begin your lessons. The first topics you will cover are moving off and stopping, turning left and right and basic clutch control.
