Having come to pick you up at a time and place that works well for you, your driving instructor in Bracknell will have an initial chat to put you at ease and find out a bit more about you. During this chat, they will check your eyesight and provisional licence, and find out about any prior driving experience you may have had.
If you are new to driving lessons in Bracknell, your instructor will drive you to a quiet area nearby, somewhere away from traffic, such as South Lynn Crescent. Here, they will teach you the basic controls, how to move off and stop the car, how to change gear and then move on to turning left and right and emerging from open T Junctions.
If you have had driving lessons before, your instructor may ask you to take them on a drive around Bracknell so that they can assess your current driving ability and where you might need to improve before your driving test. They will then be able to build you a lesson plan tailored to what you need and give you an idea of how many lessons you will need to be ready for your test.
You must have a full UK provisional driving licence to start having driving lessons.
