When you are on the independent driving part of the test, it's common to miss your mirrors and signalling when listening to and following the satnav. Remember, every time you hear a new direction, be prepared to check your mirrors and put a signal on if needed.

During your driving lessons in Bridge of Don, you will spend more than 90% of your lessons driving around. You will likely begin by practising the basics on quieter roads in Middleton Park, including moving off and stopping, turning left and right and emerging from T Junctions. As you increase in confidence, you'll be jumping on to the A92 towards Northfield and Hilton in Aberdeen to practice roundabouts, dual carriageways, junctions and meeting heavy traffic. You will also be shown the popular test routes and how to conquer tricky areas across the city so that you feel fully prepared to tackle any challenge you may face on your test.
