Mishearing the odd direction is normal; just ask the examiner in plenty of time so you can continue to plan and drive safely.

If you live in the town of Brough and want to learn to drive then we have local driving instructors on your doorstep ready to help you. Because they know the area well, there would be no need to drive away from the town until the basics are covered and you feel confident enough. A good practice road for beginners is Cavendish Park where it's nice and quiet. Here you can master the foundations before you start to drive around the town and tackle busier roads.
When taking your driving test, we find the test centre in Scunthorpe, across the other side of the Humber River, tends to be the most popular. Alternatively, you could opt for the Hull test centre which is about the same distance away (about 35 minutes drive). Where you choose to take your test is entirely up to you. We would recommend you discuss the options with your driving instructor first to get their opinion. They will know the test routes for each test centre well and be able to advise which one best plays to your strengths as a driver.
