At many test centres, it gets congested. By getting in the test centre car park as early as possible, you can get the best parking bay, in case you are asked to do the bay park manoeuvre.

When you approach junctions, keep checking until you've decided to go. If the junction is blind, try leaning forward and moving your head as if watching a tennis match. If it's blind, don't be afraid to wind the window down to try and hear anything while you are creeping out to improve your view.

First off, your driving instructor in Broxburn will want to put you ease. They will come to meet you at the arranged time and place and start off by introducing themselves and finding out a bit more about you. They will ask you about your previous driving experience and do a couple of checks on your eyesight and provisional licence.
They will then take you to a wide, quiet road in Broxburn to start you practicing behind the wheel. This will be somewhere away from traffic, like Keith Gardens, where you can practice the basics without being disturbed by other cars. You will likely learn how to move off and stop in the car as well as clutch control, the different pedals and how to steer. You may also cover turning left and right from a major to a minor road and emerging from T Junctions, if you are progressing quickly.
