i am so glad i switched to having elliot as my driving instructor he made me feel confident in my ability to drive, he always talked me through everything we was doing to make sure i felt comfortable and understood, he made me feel safe and made sure i knew he also had control of the car. Couldn't recommend him enough
Elliot is an amazing teacher, very patient and positive! You couldn’t find anyone better! I’m only a few lessons in and I’ve already learnt so much. I would 100% recommend him, especially if you are nervous as he is great at building self confidence and is very calm on the road.

I highly recommend Elliott as he is an amazing driving instructor who is very calm and encouraging throughout lessons and before a test. He puts 100% effort into focusing on struggles and creates helpful techniques to overcome them, making you understand things with ease. Elliott also calmed my nerves on many occasions and built up my confidence in driving, which has lead me to pass my test with flying colours.

My instructor Elliot is patient. I feel comfortable on each lesson and he explains what we are going to do in each lesson clearly and answers any questions I have for him so that I understand everything. Definitely feel safe in the car and would highly recommend??
Fantastic driving instructor! Elliot helped me improve my driving and pass my test within a very short space of time. Elliot is a very fair, patient, and friendly instructor that gave me confidence in my ability to drive. I felt like he had done everything to prepare me for my test and for driving after. Smashing teacher. I’ve had a couple different instructors and Elliot has been the one I have not only seen the most progression with but also the least stress with. A calm focused and talkative teacher who will teach you the necessary driving knowledge for passing your test and beyond.
Managed to pass my driving test for the first time with just 5 minors. It took less than 15 hours since I’ve already learned driving with Elliot one year ago for 30 hours. However, I didn’t manage to do my driving test due to uni. So, this time I’ve managed to pull it off with all the skills and knowledge given by Elliot. He’s a very professional driving instructor who helps his students to become more advanced in driving, and feel more confident on the road. Also, he ensures that his students know what the examiners are looking for when it comes to the driving test.

Amazing instructor, and is always kind and calm whatever the situation. When I first started taking lessons, I had no confidence in driving but now with Elliot I’ve progressed a lot and feel so much more comfortable. He is very clear with instructions whilst supporting your own learning style.

My son passed his driving test first time this week after taking lessons with Elliott. I cannot recommend him enough - he is very passionate about his job and does it in a calm and patient way. I have already booked my younger sons driving lessons with Elliott when he turns 17 in a few months time.
Ive only initially started learning with him but his level of patience and creative and helpful ways to demonstrate driving and saftey mechanics has already given me an incredible confidence boost for when i take my driving exam
Elliott is by far the best instructor. He is very calm and patient and allows us to actually learn , especially from our mistakes and is very quick to talk us through how to do things and how to improve. Elliott also took the time to get to know me which helped me feel a lot more at ease when driving and ultimately passing my test.
I could not recommend Elliott enough. I have only had one lesson with him but in that hour he has made me feel much more confident and comfortable driving after being put off by previous instructors.

I had confidence issues due to a past instructor and took time out of lessons I found Elliott and from the first lesson he has been absolutely amazing my confidence grew straight away and the nerves went and I looked forward to my lessons each week! Elliot for me was an excellent teacher, he went through all things tied to driving in defining detail and clarified meticulously whenever I had questions to ask. I absolutely recommend him, if you want to pass your test.
I have tried to learn to drive for a while but it wasn't until I started to learn with drive Johnson's and Elliott as the way he teaches makes it easy to understand. It didn't take me long and it feels great to now be able to drive my own car around town.

When you approach junctions, keep checking until you've decided to go. If the junction is blind, try leaning forward and moving your head as if watching a tennis match. If it's blind, don't be afraid to wind the window down to try and hear anything while you are creeping out to improve your view.

If you ever forget what direction you should be going, always ask the examiner in plenty of time. You will never fail your driving test for going in the wrong direction, but you can fail for not driving safely. If in doubt, ask as soon as possible.

Yes, if you wish to finish your lesson in a different area where you started your lesson, let your instructor know in advance. We ask this so it helps them to plan out their day more easily and to make sure they can be more efficient in both your route and in getting to their other pupils.
For example, if you wanted to begin at home and be dropped off at Bury College, that would be completely fine. Whatever your request is, we are very agile and can be flexible with requests like this.
Depending on your driving experience, you will very likely start your driving journey with us by learning in a quiet residential area in Bury, such as Grasmere Drive. Here you will start to build up confidence driving away from the distractions and pressure of other traffic, practising moving off and stopping, and getting familiar with the car controls.
Once you have mastered these basics, you will be driving around the quieter suburbs of Bury, on roads such as Mile Lane off the A58, where you can practice turning left and right off from a major to minor road. You will gradually build up to the busier A and B roads in and around the town, until you are confident enough to tackle the busy town centre. Your driving instructor will have you practising test routes and help you to navigate the tricky areas you might face on your driving test, such as the intersection between Peel Way, the A56, The Rock and the B6222.
As you approach your driving test, your driving instructor will teach you motorway driving on the M66 and give you mock tests so that you can see what the real experience will be like before the big day.
When taking driving lessons in Bury, it is likely you will also take your test in Bury. Of course, it is your choice where you want to take your test and your instructor will teach you the test routes of your chosen centre.
The easiest centre for you to learn in would be DVSA Bury. However, you do have test centres in Manchester that you could choose from. You may also want to choose a test centre based on the waiting time, especially if you cannot get one in the area you were after.
