Don't continue going over the lines. You can go over them slightly but imagine a car was parked in the bay. If you think you would hit it, then stop and adjust.

Once your driving instructor has made introductions, found out a bit about you and checked your eyesight and provisional driving licence, they will drive you to a quiet area in Caversham to start practising behind the wheel. This will be a quiet residential area, such as Cwmcarn or Ian Mikardo Way. There you will go over the car's controls, moving off and stopping, and turning left and right from a major to minor road, and emerging from an open T Junction. Rest assured, your driving instructor will make sure that your lesson progresses at a speed that you feel comfortable with.
