In your first lesson, your driving instructor will work to establish where you are at and then plan your lessons accordingly, working to build up your skills and confidence at a pace that you are comfortable with. Your instructor will cover the basics first and take you to practice in quieter areas of Darlington, ensuring that you are completely happy with these before moving on. Once the basics are under your belt, you will move on to busier areas, including the main A roads and town centre.
There are two driving test centres in Darlington - one on Banks Road and the other in High Point Business Park. Most learners choose the test centre that they are closest to but many also simply choose a nearby test centre that has the shortest wait time. This can be discussed with your driving instructor as they will be local to the Darlington area and therefore be able to advise on what they think would work best for you.
