You can fail your test for driving too slow or too fast. Don't make sudden changes if you sense the examiner is looking over at your speedo. Just gently come off the gas or gently apply more depending on if you are going too slow or fast.

On your test you may have overtaking opportunities. If it's safe to do so, the examiner will expect you to overtake. Only overtake if you think you can go past the vehicle in front swiftly without braking the speed limit. Can you get back into the left hand lane before the road ends or the next junction. If they examiner tells you to turn left at the next roundabout, that might be a hint to stay where you are and not do the overtake.
