There are other elements of the test that they need to mark, which doesn't mean you have received a recorded fault. They have to mark down when a manoeuvre, hill start, angled moving off, and more are completed.

When approaching a no entry sign, expect the examiner to say nothing, unless there is more than one way you can go. As you approach the no entry, the examiner will be getting ready to brake if you aren’t slowing down and look like you are going to avoid the no entry. If you notice their foot or leg moving slightly, you possibly have one or two seconds to go in the correct direction before they use the dual controls.

Learning to drive in Daventry for first timers is pretty good as the town has some lovely quieter areas for you to practice in. Many of our local instructors take their beginners to Balliol Road which is up near the Daventry Campus of Northampton College (we have helped over 100 students to pass first time from this college).
Coming away from the college slightly you have Tyne Road on the Grange estate which is very wide and straight with not too many parked cars around - this is a great area to start picking up the basics.
As you advance, Daventry isn't a place you want to become too accustomed to as it doesn't have its own test centre. Most learners tend to choose to take their test in Rugby or Northampton, depending on which side of the town they live on.
Whichever test centre you choose, the A45 is the road that will take you to your nearest test centre. Here, you can practice driving at higher speeds and using all the gears in the car to reach the national speed limits!
