My instructor Tony has been fantastic he is always on time and makes our lessons enjoying and most importantly very informative.
Tony Mills is a very calm, patient and excellent instructor. He broke everything down into easy to understand pieces and I was able to pass at my first attempt. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for an instructor in the ASHFORD or Folkestone area.
I had a great time learning to drive with Tony and was very pleased to pass my test at the first attempt.
He is very reliable, knowledgeable and patient, as well as possessing a grand sense of humour. With his emphasis on practising good 'roadsense', he teaches important driving skills over and above what is required to pass one's test.
I have no hesitation in recommending him as a great person to learn to drive with.
I'd had lessons before with 2 different instructors and wasn't happy with my lessons, I decided to change driving school to drive johnsons and they put me with Tony as my instructor. Brilliant teaching and always made me feel at ease when we were out on the road. It helped that Tony talked to me about football and other topics I was interested in as it put me at ease and helped me to learn at my own pace.

I had failed my test six times with two different driving schools but then I was recommended to learn with Tony in his automatic with driveJohnson's and it was incredible. He knew what I needed to learn and was able to help me change my life around and now I am able to go and buy my own car.
I was able to get an early test after passing my theory and thanks to Tony I got ready in less than 10 hours of lessons and was able to pass my early test with just three minors.

25 New Dover Road, CT1 3ASIf the examiner makes conversation with you on your test, always respond to avoid being rude. They will usually ask you a minimum of two questions. They are something along the lines of, 'What do you do for a living?' or, 'Have you had to take today off work?'
If you are approaching a junction or a tricky area then focus on your driving and when it’s safe to respond then do so. The examiner will understand you are focusing on your driving and they shouldn't be offended.

When you go for your test, try to aim for perfection. If your standards are that high, you may make some faults, but you will still pass. If you aim to scrape through the test or say to yourself, "I don't care if I fail", you probably won't pass. Consider having more lessons until you feel comfortable with your ability and when your instructor is praising you.

How many lessons you have a week is completely up to you and is a personal preference. We would recommend having at least one 2-hour lesson per week so that there is enough time in each lesson to cover everything. However, you can have just 1-hour a week of lessons or have a couple of 2-hour lessons every week to get the hours in and pass sooner.
