I had over 50 hours with another school but in just 10 hours with drive johnson I passed with only 1 minor!!! Thank you Jack!

I was struggling with my manoeuvres and my instructor who gave me lessons helped me over come them and fulfilled my needs. Best instructor to be honest.
A massive thanks to Pete Hodd for getting me through my driving test. I was so nervous but he completely kept me at my cool. He made the lessons so enjoyable and I loved every minute of it. I was deffo not the easiest person to teach but he did great. Thanks again Pete!!
I passed first time today thanks to Pete Hodds, he made a compete difference to my learning compared to the previous instructor I had who was absolutely naff! He was so encouraging when it came to my test, and I passed with only one minor. He was deffo doing something right! I will definitely be recommending him to my friends.
Was unsure how to go about booking for lessons never driven before. So when i called DriveJohnsons i was very nervous. But the staff in the office was so helpful and guided me through all the information i needed and i got myself booked in. Don’t think i would have even gone ahead with lessons had it not been for the person i spoke to. Big Thankyou.

I lost my license 2 years ago as I had it revoked. I came to Drive Johnsons and did 6 hours with my instructor. I had to do an extended test and passed first attempt.
Thank you Pete, it was a great experience and I will miss our lessons but I am so glad that I have passed my test and can go and buy my one car.

I had my driving test yesterday morning and I passed with only 2 minors! I was over the moon, a massive thanks to Pete Hodds for getting me through it! It took me a lot of lessons to come to terms with everything, but Pete was so patient and not once did I feel under pressure. So happy to finally have my licence. I never thought I would pass my test but thankfully I learned with Pete Hodd and thanks to his skills and knowledge I not only passed first time but I also did so faultlessly with only 15 hours of lessons.

You have a 1 in 4 chance of being asked to do the emergency stop. If you are asked to do this, the examiner will explain this to you when the car is stationary. You will most likely notice your examiner looking over their shoulder when the car is moving. This is to double-check it’s safe, so be ready. When they look over their shoulder, they are about to ask you to stop!

When approaching a no entry sign, expect the examiner to say nothing unless there is more than one option on where to go. As you approach the no entry, the examiner will be ready to brake you if you aren’t slowing down and look as though you will miss the no entry. If you notice their foot or leg moving slightly, you possibly have 1-2 seconds to go in the correct direction before they use the dual controls.

Your driving instructor in Hailsham will ask you about your previous experience. If you have not had any previous lessons, that is fine as many people have not had any previous experience. During this chat, your driving instructor will also go over the basics of the car, and they will do an eyesight check and check your provisional licence.
Once this is done, your instructor will begin your driving lesson in a quiet area. They will cover moving off and stopping, clutch control, the different pedals and how to steer. You will always begin in a quiet area away from cars and other road users to learn at your own pace.
