Always get to the test centre 10 to 15 minutes early. You are allowed to drive in 5-10 minutes before the test starts. At many test centres, it gets congested. By getting in the test centre car park as early as possible, you can get the best parking bay, in case you are asked to do the bay park manoeuvre.

Your driving instructor in Harlow will come to meet you and have a quick initial chat to find out a bit more about you. They will ask you about your previous driving experience. If you have not had any previous lessons, that is fine as many people have not had any previous experience. They will also go over the basics of the car, do an eyesight check and check your provisional licence.
Once this is done, your instructor will begin your driving lesson in a quiet area in Harlow, such as Bush Fair or Passmores. You will cover moving off and stopping, clutch control, the different pedals, how to steer, turning left and right from a major to minor road and perhaps emerging from an open T-Junction, depending on how fast you are progressing. Your instructor will always tailor your driving lessons to your needs so that you can learn at your own pace.
