Alan is such a lovely instructor he makes you feel confident when driving, he knows how to have a laugh... I had Alan as my instrutor and i past my pratical 1st time thank you so much Alan your a star
Alan is an amazing driving instructor and I would definitely recommend him! He is very knowledgeable, friendly and patient. Despite having to stop and start lessons throughout the pandemic with different rules he went above and beyond to help me be prepare for my test. Every lesson was fun yet educational and I passed my test at my second attempt.
Alan was wonderful to have as an instructor. Very patient, calm, friendly and encouraging, making sure I was ready for my test. His teaching was absolutely comprehensive and was always enjoyable. During this difficult time of covid I wouldn’t have been able to pass my test without him! I am now a confident and happy driver, all thanks to Alan!
Alan was a great, friendly instructor who helped me pass first time with 2 minors. He got me test ready in a minimal amount of lessons and I can't recommend him highly enough.
My partner passed first time with Alan, so when I started learning just months later, it felt natural to go with him too. I initially had my test booked for February 1st as Alan advised, but I changed it to mid January as I wanted to pass quicker. Sure enough, Alan was right as I then ended up re-booking for February 1st and I passed!

Alan was an amazing instructor and helped me pass first time in St Albans with only 1 minor. He is very knowledgeable and has an amazing approach to teaching. He is also someone who is very easy to talk to and is very up to date with test requirements, routes etc. I couldn't recommend him enough.

There are other elements of the test that they need to mark, which doesn't mean you have received a recorded fault. They have to mark down when a manoeuvre, hill start, angled moving off, and more are completed.

You have a 1 in 3 chance of being asked to do the emergency stop. If you are asked to do this, the examiner will explain this to you when the car is stationary. You will most likely notice your examiner looking over their shoulder when the car is moving. This is to double-check it’s safe, so be ready. When they look over their shoulder, they are about to ask you to stop!

When you begin your driving lessons in Hatfield with us, your driving instructor will always start by having a conversation about your previous experience. Along with discussing your driving experience, they will also check your provisional driving licence and eyesight and show you how to adjust your mirrors, seat and lights.
Once you have had this introductory conversation, you will then be taken to a quiet area to begin your lesson. The topics that you will start with are moving off and stopping, changing gears, clutch control and steering left and right.
