Passed my driving test in Hornchurch today and have no hesitation in recommending my instructor Andy from drivejohnsons. Andy was always on time for my lessons, very patient and put everything in making sure I was fully prepared for the test.

Andy is a superb driving instructor. Truely professional in every way, exactly what a learner needs. He made me the driver i am today, confident and careful. Andy Sterne was an amazing instructor. He made the lessons relaxed at the beginning because I was very nervous. As I got better, he challenged me with new subjects so every lesson I felt like I was making progress.I passed with 3 minor faults, taking just 30 hours of lessons - which for me I was very happy with this outcome as some of my friends had taken over 50 lessons with their instructors.

Absolutely amazing! Andy is so patient and understanding and accommodating.

Thanks to Andy Sterne’s excellent knowledge of the area, I passed my driving test today. He made sure I was fully prepared for what the test would be like and on the day itself, he helped me stay calm and was very encouraging. I felt a little nervous during the test, but I kept in mind his words of advice and this helped to pull me through.
Andy always arrived on time for my lessons and was quite often several minutes early! He was very patient and encouraging and really knows his stuff, answering any questions I had clearly. He helped me perfect all aspects of my driving before my test, leaving nothing to chance.

I contacted driveJohnson's on very short notice, just a month before my test. Initially, they told me they couldn't get me an instructor for just the month, which was fair enough, but after another call, Andy kindly took me on.

I explained to him that my issue with my previous instructor was that he did not explain things fully and revealed information to me bit by bit, which didn't work for me.

Andy spent most of our lessons explaining everything in detail to me, which helped me understand and drive more confidently.

I'm pleased to say I passed today with 2 minor faults, and I don't think I could have done it without those extra lessons with Andy.

Andy Sterne was my given instructor and I cannot express how glad and grateful I am that I got given him and how happy I am that I had the honour of meeting him. He truly goes above and beyond for every lesson and is thoroughly prepared for every difficulty I may have encountered. My first lesson with Andy was the first time I have ever even been in a driving seat and today I passed my driving test. This is due to not only Andy’s incredible dedication and ability to teach but also his supportive, caring and fun personality which was incredibly encouraging and optimistic. Andy from driveJhonson's is a an excellent instructor. With his help I passed my driving test in first attempt. He is very professional, arrived on time for every lesson without any cancellations. Before starting my lessons he shared costs and lesson plans well in advance. The instruction materials shared for the lessons are also commendable.

I consider Andy an excellent teacher as he is very patient. He helps to instill right practices and rules in different road situations with positive feedback. When made mistakes in road situations, he helped to correct it by explaining not just "what" but also "why" behind the right practice and the right rule. Then consistently kept repeating the explanation well before I could go into the same road situation, such that I could consciously practice the correct and safe way of handling the situation. I will recommend him to anyone who wants to learn and practice to be a safe driver.

Was luckily enough to have Andy as a driving instructor we had around 10 lessons together, he went through all I needed to get me through my test, then today I took my test at the Horncastle test centre, I passed I wouldn’t have without Andy

Had very little time to get my lessons in before my test but Andy was very understanding about it and planned out the best method for me in that time .Felt very comfortable with him in the car and he had great teaching methods would highly recommend him. And best of all passed my test with very few minors so I was well pleased.

Could not recommend a better instructor. I started with Andy mid pandemic and he has been there till the end. He made an effort to make me comfortable, in a relaxed way and he took his time answering my questions in a professional manner. I passed with 1 minor and that is due to him. Andy was very accommodating as we had to keep pausing lessons due to lockdowns and each time we picked up where we left off.
It was very difficult to find a test during this time and he was very encouraging giving me suggestions on how to get a test before my theory expired. If you are lucky enough to get Andy as an instructor you will not only feel confident on your test but you will be a safe driver for the future.
