There isn't a driving test centre in Leith itself, but there are a few nearby that many of our learners in Leith choose to take their test at. The nearest is about 20 minutes away in Musselburgh, and there is also another in Currie on the other side of Edinburgh, which is about 40 minutes away by car. There is also a test centre in Kirkcaldy but this is about a 50 minute drive from Leith.
Your driving instructor in Leith will start you learning the basics in a quiet residential area, such as the car's controls, moving off and stopping, turning left and right from a major to minor road and emerging from open T junctions. You will quickly find yourself having driving lessons in Edinburgh as you grow in confidence, so that you can master meeting traffic and practice the local test routes if you are taking your test at a test centre nearby.
