Quality Driving Lessons in Paddington

I have had 3 driving instructors prior to Simeon, and I have to say he has been an exceptional driving instructor. Every lesson we have clear-cut objectives planned based on the previous lesson, and this has helped me immensly in terms of progression when learning to drive.

Simeon is very attentative, concise and detailed when explaining the various scenarios during all lessons, and his enthusiasm and encouragement has made it a great environment for learning (and easing the nerves when learning to drive too!). He has gone above and beyond with the exceptional teaching plus his patience and I would 1000% recommend him to anyone looking to pass their driving test!

Simeon has been a very knowledgeable driving instructor and has helped me pass 1st time from being an absolute beginner. He is a very organized instructor that comes to lessons prepared to work on issues picked up in previous lessons. Thanks once again Simeon for all the help!

From my first lesson with Simeon, I could tell that I had lucked out. He was incredibly professional, yet also just a really nice guy. And as time went on, I found Simeon to be always calm, patient and a fantastic teacher.

For me, the best thing about Simeon is that he adapts his teaching style to suit you. It meant that I learnt something new every lesson, and felt fully prepared for my test, which I passed with only two minors.

Simeon is a great driving instructor! He is very kind and reassuring. I get very nervous in tests but I passed thanks to Simeon. He helped me when I was very stressed and he was very positive and really made driving a team effort! Feel like we did it together. His instructions and explanations are very clear and helpful. Honestly grateful I was recommended to Simeon to begin with. As soon as my first lesson with him was completed, I knew I had to look no further for a driving instructor and quickly booked for future lessons as he is always in demand. I enjoyed every second of learning with him as he always turned any mistakes a made into perfection straight away with his tips and tricks to learn how to drive. You would never even look at Simeon as your instructor but as a friend as he is always there to have a little laugh while you get down to business. We were always able to talk about interests we had in common which was also a bonus. Passed 1st time when the odds were against me all because of Simeon. On top of this I was also able to increase my confidence hugely due to Simeon as he was always there to pick me up when I was down. Will definitely sign up for lessons again when I get my new car. It has been a pleasure being his student. Thank you again Sim.

Simeon was the best instructor/teacher I’ve ever had. I was extremely nervous and driving made me feel anxious. But Simeon always made me feel calm and relaxed, and took the time to listen to all of my little worries. He made sure I never gave up, and he always believed in me, even when I thought I couldn't do it. He was also very accommodating to my hours, and would even fit in lessons before my work.

I couldn’t recommend Simeon highly enough. Because of him, I passed my test first time with only three minors. He has a really positive attitude and kind nature. He also has a great sense of humour, which made my lessons enjoyable, fun and (importantly for me) relaxing.

Honestly the best instructor I’ve had, and I’ve gone through a fair few! He is just so patient and makes everything super simple and clear for you to understand. I would recommend him to anyone learning to drive at any level, he’ll get you the goal you’ll want to achieve and you’ll be driving on the streets legally in no time! Genuinely do not have a single bad word about this guy, he is a top man.

Simeon Fearon is really fabulous instructor so far I had two lessons with him he is utterly an amazing instructor. He is teaching me the right way of driving safety and securely and help me if I make any mistake. At the beginning of my lesson with I was so nervous and scared to hit cars and he tells just came down and take a deep breath and it will be fine what a lovely instructor definitely recommend you to do your lessons with him.

I used to think the ‘perfect driving instructor’ doesn’t exist until I met Simeon. Simeon always encouraged me to stay confident and cool during my ‘learner driver’ experience. Thanks to him I managed to pass my driving test smoothly staying composed throughout the whole test.

Simeon is simply a great human and an excellent instructor. What he does best is build a bond, so you can trust each other whilst you navigate the stressful time between first getting in a car and passing your test. His knowledge of the process is impeccable and his personality turns it all in a fun activity.
I have a very hard try controlling my nerves in tests, but Simeon is always up for a little laugh to take the stress out of any situation but without distracting you.

Simeon was a fantastic teacher and instructor. I was so nervous about driving and just had no confidence in my ability or belief that I could pass this test. Simeon took me completely seriously and I really appreciate that he didn't dismiss my nerves but took the time to talk through all of my worries. He was so patient in teaching me and always made me feel like I could achieve every task he set. He was so incredibly supportive and also just a ton of fun to be around. Simeon is a fantastic driving instructor. Despite having 16 years of driving experience abroad, I would never have been able to pass my exam first time without Simeon's lessons because of the road conditions in London.

I really appreciated that he would progressively disclose errors, so as to not overwhelm all at once (i made a lot of mistakes!) He lets you make the mistake so you remember for next time.

The best driving instructor you could possibly have!
I feel very anxious in test scenarios and with previous instructors have found it hard to get ready to be able to take my test. I passed my test first time with 1 minor thanks to Simeon! He’s a wonderful guy, relaxed, patient, kind + funny. Highly recommend!

Simeon was not only an amazing instructor, but also a good mate. He made me feel relaxed in the car so that I could progress quickly and pass my driving test first time.

Lessons didn't feel like lessons, more like going for a friendly drive with a cool guy who wanted to improve my driving as quickly as possible so that I could sit my practical test before I went to uni.

Simeon is a fantastic teacher. As someone in their mid-30s who hadn't been behind a wheel in 15 years, I was very nervous about starting to learn again. Simeon was calm, reassuring, incredibly attentive and gives specific and practical advice. He is always paying attention to what you're doing, puts you at ease, gives positive encouragment while always picking you up on your little mistakes and explaining things so you really understand how to improve. Entirely against my expectations, I passed my test 1st time! 100% down to an excellent teacher. And he's fun too.

An absolutely incredible teacher that I won’t ever forget! Sim’s method of teaching got me to pass first time and there’s no one I’d have rather experienced the driving journey with! His patient approach enables you to acknowledge your faults without feeling defeat and instilling confidence within yourself, as he frequently reflects mentor tendencies. As a driving instructor and an individual, he possesses inspiring qualities which are reflected in the ways in which he instructs, advises, listens and engages with attentiveness throughout our lessons.
There is an immediate recognition that he is a natural born teacher as he has an ability to retain a perfect balance between an educator and a friend, allowing you to develop the necessary skills to be a fantastic driver whilst offering a light hearted atmosphere to really be comfortable and enjoy yourself in the process.

My driving experience will be treasured for life solely due to his guidance. As an instructor, his teaching style meant I am incredibly confident on the road, as a mentor he provided me with a set of skills for life that has motivated me to never give up and always remain optimistic! And as a friend, we shared so much laughter, leaving me with non forgettable memories.

THE BEST DRIVING INSTRUCTOR EVER! Simeon always kept me in check and made sure my anxiety didn’t get the best of me. Even when i made mistakes he was patient and kind. Could not recommend more, loveliest person and i will miss driving with him every week!

Of the three driving instructors I have had over the last few years I can confidentially say that Simeon is by some distance the most professional and competent instructor I have had.

I will not resort to downgrading the qualities of the other instructors I had; Simeon from our first session quickly built rapport and assessed my existing driving ability. Progression with him was steady and assured - learning a life skill should not be rushed or glossed over (in my opinion) and we went over the most important aspects of driving in the required detail and at a pace which was comfortable for me.

I particularly valued the trust Simeon had in my driving ability, this was a key component in that helped me learn. There were a number of occasions where he asked me whether certain milestones were reached (from my point of view) and from my answers (and how I answered them!) provided guidance on when and what to move on to. The lessons were interesting and relevant with most of the theory taught in bitesize chunks ensuring that I got value for money with each lesson.

He has a patient teaching style which puts learners at ease and his knowledge and the training he has had resulted him in being able to confidently answer any question I had. His ability to recall previous driving situations in detail (cars that we overtook/got too close too/crossings we went passed) was incredibly valuable in my learning. Adding, his foresight in complex situations was something I tried to emulate and greatly advanced my learning.

My schedule was somewhat unpredictable (available some evenings and weekends) and Simeon is a particularly popular instructor so I found the best way to book with him was early. With the above schedule constraints, my time with Simeon lasted approx 5 months with a number of idle weeks in that period due to my time management and also there being some weeks before the test where I didn't necessarily need lessons. If you are in a rush to learn I recommend a) freeing your schedule and b) block booking all the lessons you'll think you'll need (plus some more!)

With regards to testing, we did a number a mock tests as preparation which I found very beneficial in getting test ready.

All in all I am very happy I had Simeon assigned to me by Drive Johnsons. I would in a heartbeat recommend anyone to see Simeon if they are in need of quality instruction. So much so that I have already recommended him to some relatives. I hope this review is helpful in your decision in picking an instructor.
