I have to start saying that Chris has been my 4th instructor and the best with a difference!
His way of teaching is amazing, setting up a simple routine that you will always follow to develop good driving skills, creating, therefore, a safe environment to make you feel comfortable and without fear of the road.
I just did 14h of driving lessons (after 2 years without driving, so starting from 0) and passed the exam successfully. He always believes in you and that feeling grows within you.

I want to thank Chris for being amazing and for every hour he spent teaching me a skill I know I will use for the rest of my life. I started my driving experience with him and this made passing my test just that much better, knowing that we had been on that journey together. He explained things clearly and helped build my confidence when driving and in life. During every lesson I would receive constructive feedback and in the lessons leading up to my test we would discuss what my weaker areas were and focus on tackling those within the lesson. He really makes the effort to build relationships with his students, and from day one you know he believes in you and your ability to succeed. I’ve now passed my test but I will miss our little chats. I’m proud to say I was his student.
I started learning with Chris at the start of February and today I passed my test first time with 1 minor fault, in an area I was not familiar with at all (Tolworth).
At the start I was incredibly nervous but as I worked more and more on following his taught routine and my confidence and ability very quickly grew.
I looked forward to my lessons every week as it was always a good laugh. Chris is very easy to get on with and always up for a chat whilst teaching.

For example, if you stall, panic and let the car roll back you will fail. If you stall, secure the car with footbrake or handbrake, restart and move away safely you will receive just a driving fault.

When you approach junctions, keep checking until you've decided to go. If the junction is blind, try leaning forward and moving your head as if watching a tennis match. If it's blind, don't be afraid to wind the window down to try and hear anything while you are creeping out to improve your view.
