Often during the parallel park, we use the door mirror so much that we risk not looking all around. If you look over your right shoulder at least twice and out of the back window at least six times, that should be enough to satisfy your examiner.

The majority of roads in Shepherd's Bush are compact, narrow and grid-like, with the shopping centre areas around White City getting quite busy. When you first start your driving lessons, your instructor will try to avoid these areas so you're not put into any particularly challenging scenarios too early on. Instead, your lessons will commence in streets like Braybrook Street, Stokesley Street and Mellitus Street, where the roads are much quieter, have slower speed limits and are better suited for learning to drive in.
Once you've picked up the basics of driving, you'll move onto more complex areas - tackling the busy Westway (A40) and potentially the A406, in the direction of Greenford (where the nearest Driving Test Centre is located). Using these roads will expose you to some tricky junctions like the Hanger Lane Gyratory System, where good lane-discipline is required and a knowledge of the area is helpful, as well as some yellow box junctions and roundabouts in quick succession. Your driveJohnson's instructor will know these areas and will have you driving through them regularly, preparing you not only for your driving test, but so you drive through them safely once you pass too.
