If you aim to scrape through the test or say to yourself, "I don't care if I fail", you probably won't pass. Consider having more lessons until you feel comfortable with your ability and when your instructor is praising you.

Many learners think they should offset their mirrors, so they have to move their head more during the test. You should be able to check your mirrors by moving your eyes - not your head. The examiners are trained to look out for eye checks rather than head movements. Moving your head may cause the examiner to think your mirrors are not set up correctly.

Firstly, your driving instructor in Shepperton will collect you, introduce themselves and find out a bit more you about your previous driving experience. If you have not had any previous driving lessons, don't worry as many people have not had any previous driving experience. During this chat, your driving instructor will also go over the basics of the car, they will do an eyesight check and check your provisional driving licence.
Once this is complete, your instructor will begin your driving lesson in a quiet area in Shepperton. You will go through moving off and stopping, clutch control, the different pedals and how to steer. You will always begin in a quiet area away from cars and other road users to learn at your own pace.
