After having driving lessons with another school and failing my test, I decided to give driveJohnson's a go and a new instructor. Defiantly the right move, learnt so much more with Ahmed and passed after having 10 hours with him.

Many learners don't release the handbrake fully when moving off and then, 5-10 seconds later, the car starts to make a beeping noise. At this point, you have probably failed your test.

A classic question is: what happens if you go the wrong way on your test? The answer is not a lot. Just try to do it safely and you will be fine. Many learners will swerve at short notice, realising they are in the wrong lane, and fail for the changing lanes part. If the examiner can see you have time to get into the correct lane, they may repeat the instruction or use hand signals. They won't repeat or re-enforce the direction if it isn't safe or there isn't enough time. You will not receive a driving fault for safely going in the wrong direction on your test.

Learning to drive in Waltham Abbey, you will have the choice of a few different test centres to choose from. Your nearest test centres are situated in Enfield (Innova Business Park), Loughton (London), and Chingford (London). You may have a preference as to where you would like to take your driving test, or you may choose a test centre depending on availability. Wherever you choose to take your test, your instructor will take you for driving lessons in the test centre area to familiarise you with the roads and the centre to give you the best possible chance of passing.
When you start your driving lessons with our driving school in Waltham Abbey, you'll start your learning journey on the quieter roads in the town. The Round Hills area is perfect to learn in being a loop, so you can keep driving around it until you have fully got the grip of moving off, stopping, and shifting up and down the gears. It also has many side roads so, when you're ready to progress, you can move on to covering T-junctions as well as left and right-hand turns quickly.
Once you're much more confident, are comfortable with the basics and have a few hours under your belt, you'll drive to the Enfield area to cover the driving test route areas. You'll practise your manoeuvres in the test route manoeuvre hot spots and cover some of the most notorious tricky junctions and roads in the Enfield area. You need not worry though, your driveJohnson's driving instructor will cover everything with you, in-depth, so nothing will surprise you on the day of your driving test.
