Best driving instructor in Leicester. Soo lucky I had Ian, funny and great sense of humor. Unfortunately I won't be there anymore now that I've passed so I leave you with this Ian :). **Thats totally my bad** ;).

Ian is an amazing driving instructor even when he does tell his rubbish jokes, got me through both driving tests and kept me positive even though the first time was a fail, definitely recommend, wont regret it!

I passsd first time with Ian and couldn’t recommend him more. I was a very nervous driver in big areas and he helped me overcome that, not just for my test but for when I’m on my own. Will recommend to anyone!

You can tell Ian is an experienced instructor as he can easily change his way of teaching you to a way that suits you. I passed first time with his help. Would highly recommend to anyone!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would!! After numerous driving instructors I got in contact with Ian and it was the best decision I made. Ian completely changed my perspective of driving and got me through my test with only 2 minors. I wouldn't of been able to do it without him. Would definitely 100% recommend him!!

Ian is a brilliant driving instructor built up my confidence from day one after noticing that i was nervous.
Ian is also punctual as well as being patient and put me at ease straight away. His car was good to learn in and well maintained.
Ian knows his stuff and I achieved this quicker than I thought I ever would thank to how he is.

Ian was recommended to me by a colleague after being with another instructor for over a year and failing my test multiple times. Ian is by far the best instructor i couldve had. He had a lot of work on his hands with teaching me as im not the best learner and im pretty shy. He made me feel very comfortable and persevered with me and got me through my test with only 3 minors ... i will by far be recommending him to anyone thats asking for a driving instructor

An amazing instructor, who helped me to build up my confidence behind the wheels and become more aware of others around me.
Always finding ways to help me solve the problems I came across and keeping me calm whenever it became too much, with lots of fun stories. I’ll miss all the crazy jokes and having lots of different characters in the back, reminding me not to spill Bessie’s glass of wine!

I learnt with Ian and I passed my driving test first time! He’s a really good instructor and is very good at making you feel comfortable and building confidence. He gives really trustworthy advice and is able to change his lessons to suit you as an individual. He lets you choose what you want to do in the lesson and if you’re not sure, he’ll always have an idea in mind. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better driving instructor!

ian’s easily best about, such a good teacher with his own unique ways of teaching

I had never driven before and was quite nervous about it before starting lessons with Ian, but I’ve just passed my test first time thanks to him! Ian is an amazing instructor and is very patient. I was probably ians worse learner as i was extremely nervous on the road and let the nerves get the better of me.
Ian helped me over come this and made me the very aware cautious driver that i am today. He was so patient with me no matter how much i messed up.

Ian is an amazing driving instructor. After having a few years off learning to drive he really helped me to grow my confidence back. Lessons were always great and Ian was always so supportive as he would find a way to tailor what we were working on so it suited me and is great at making you feel at ease, mainly with all the jokes he comes out with! Ian is a wonderful instructor and has supported me from day one of my driving lessons.

He made every lesson enjoyable, and would work around both the things both myself and him wanted to improve. He helped increase my awareness and confidence on the road allowing me to pass my exam.

Ian is a kind, empathetic and knowledgable instructor. His ability to tailor his lessons and approach to his students is exemplary. I am a PDI and so needed help with my part 2. Even being a seasoned driver, I was very nervous. Ian knew exactly how to help me which led to an excellent pass after his lessons. I cannot rate Ian more highly. I will drive for over two hours for him to teach my Son, so that’s high praise indeed.

Ian is a really competent driving instructor willing to not only spend his time to help you pass a test but prepare you for independent driving. He is really patient and calming to help me pass my test first time with only one minor. I would definitely recommend ian to any learner with any amount of experience.

I’m not sure there’s a word that would quite encapsulate the gratitude that I have for Ian, with how expertly he trained me to pass my test first time. I’ve seen other reviews talk about Ian’s unique teaching style, and I could not agree more, he is incredible at tailoring the experience to the person he is teaching, and I always felt like I was in a safe environment to make a mistake and learn from it. He always put a smile on his face on every lesson and was always very patient with me, and had a great sense of humour with his impressions, and I honestly don’t think I could have a found a better driving instructor.

At first contact, I knew Ian would be a fantastic instructor. Every day we'd start the day with same joke "Hey dude! Don't mind if I call you dude?" Always made me laugh and now looking back was a great way to start a lesson; always making it feel like just another day driving, making my nerves disappear. That's what I liked about Ian, he completely distracted you from the fears of driving with interesting conversations, really rubbish but funny jokes and positive comments about my driving.

What I also liked about Ian was, joking aside, how straight forward he was with his explanations on how to carry out maneuvers and his concerns/feedback. Never making me feel bad about my mistakes, never talking in a patronising tone, always made sure I was happy and confident with my ability to preform maneuvers to a standard far above the passing level.

Coming to test day, he made sure that I was confident and had no reason to doubt myself. A really nice guy, fantastic instructor and an amusing amateur voice actor!

Can't thank him enough for helping me get my license first time! Wishing him all the best.

I have just passed my test and I believe that Ian was the reason for it not just the driving technique but also the mentality and how to be confident at the wheel, I will always recommend him to any of my friends and I am glad to have called him my driving instructor.

Ian is a brilliant instructor! Had a couple of years away from driving and within a year I was able to pass my driving test. It wasn’t always easy but Ian was always positive and believed in me. I couldn’t have gotten to where I am now without his help. So thankful! Fully recommend Ian as a driving instructor as he makes every lesson enjoyable and relaxed.

Ian is an unbelievably amazing instructor, he has several brilliant qualities that makes him an astounding instructor: he is kind, very patient, pays great attention to detail and has the ability to calm you down when you feel things are becoming too much in the lesson by telling his crazy jokes about Bessie and other characters ? each lesson I would be in fits of laughter from his crazy jokes and stories!
He has worked so hard with me, picking up on my flaws and fixing them to become a better driver and has also built greatly on my confidence!
I honestly don’t think l would of been able to pass if l didn’t have Ian as an instructor, it has been such a pleasure having him teach me. I would recommend him to anyone!

Absolutely amazing instructor! Built my confidence after failing my test twice previous with a different instructor, then 1st test with ians help i passed. Im so happy and would highly reccomend ian to anyone.

Ian is an absolutely great instructor, he is such a credit to drive Johnson's!! After being with a previous driving instructor who was clearly just out for my money and was not helping me to improve my driving at all. I approached Ian and I had approximately 6 lessons with him and I passed my driving test no problem. I am now driving about and loving every minute of it all thanks to Ian, I would highly recommend him without a doubt.

Started with Ian having never drove before and passed first time!

Ian‘s very good and reliable at what he does! He helped bring out the confidence in my driving that I lacked and has helped me get on the road quicker than I ever thought I would without feeling rushed! Very calm when things don’t go to plan which makes you feel at ease knowing it’s ok to make mistakes! I highly recommend Ian to anyone, especially people who lack in confidence!

Ian taught my older brother to drive so there was hesitation in asking him. I was nervous for a start and he walked me through every step explaining everything and building up my confidence. Ian is not only a fantastic teacher but he is also a great guy. He has trained me throughout my journey to become a driving instructor and I am delighted to say that with his expert help and advice I have passed each test first time.

A lot of that is down to Ian's expert teaching style. I can only hope to be half the instructor he is going forward in my new career.

Couldn’t ask for a better driving instructor. He managed to turn learning to drive which I absolutely hated the thought of to something I looked forward to doing. Explains everything in an easy to understand manner and makes you feel safe when in the car. HES THE BEST!!!!

Ian is the best instructor I could of hoped for.
I’ve been practicing with him for about 12 months with breaks because of covid but that didn’t stop us from having a laugh.
I didn’t expect to enjoy learning to drive as much as I did thanks to Ian.

3 months ago, I had never sat infront of a steering wheel let alone actually drove a car. Today I passed my test first time, with only 4 minors! Ian, right from the very beginning of my learning journey built up my confidence and made sure every aspect of my driving was good. He is always offering very helpful constructive criticism however he never forgets to praise the good skills that you may have. This guy pays great attention to detail and learning to drive with him was an absolute pleasure. I 100% recommend learning with Ian, he is a very good teacher and instructor.

An excellent driving teacher who picked up on my flaws and worked on them tirelessly. Ian is a perfectionist and helped me pass a test i previously thought was impossible ubtil i switched. I started learning with Ian a few months ago and honestly he is one of the nicest, funniest guys I’ve met. He calmed my nerves down with my Driving and he helps by breaking the lessons up with his crappy jokes ;). I sure will miss Ian, Bessie and the Queen being in the back of the car with a cup of tea!
