Ian is an amazing driving instructor. After having a few years off learning to drive he really helped me to grow my confidence back. Lessons were always great and Ian was always so supportive as he would find a way to tailor what we were working on so it suited me and is great at making you feel at ease, mainly with all the jokes he comes out with! I couldn’t recommend him enough, thank you so much for everything!

This guy truly is amazing! I suffer with anxiety and always thought id never be able to drive a car yet with ians help i have now passed and im loving every minute of it! Thanks again ian and drive johnsons! Keep doinv what you do ian as it works

Fantastic. Helped me pass, tips for after passing, confidence building, and generally a good teacher. Wicked sense of humour and totally professional.

I was probably ians worse learner as i was extremely nervous on the road and let the nerves get the better of me.
Ian helped me over come this and made me the very aware cautious driver that i am today. He was so patient with me no matter how much i messed up.

Becoming a driver is an expensive process however, I got my moneys worth out of each lesson I had with Ian. I'm not a very fast Learner and thought I would never drive and with the help of Ian, his jokes about Bessie in the back, linking driving to skills I already have and building my confidence to solve problems.
I would 100% recommend Ian and his flashy Red and White C3 and his not so funny jokes. If you want to learn how to drive, he is the instructor to learn with for sure! EXCELLENT INSRUCTOR

Couldn’t ask for a better driving instructor. He managed to turn learning to drive which I absolutely hated the thought of to something I looked forward to doing. Explains everything in an easy to understand manner and makes you feel safe when in the car. HES THE BEST!!!!

Best driving instructor in Leicester. Soo lucky I had Ian, funny and great sense of humor. Unfortunately I won't be there anymore now that I've passed so I leave you with this Ian :). **Thats totally my bad** ;).

Ian is a wonderful instructor and has supported me from day one of my driving lessons.

He made every lesson enjoyable, and would work around both the things both myself and him wanted to improve. He helped increase my awareness and confidence on the road allowing me to pass my exam.

Started with Ian having never drove before and passed first time!

Ian is a brilliant instructor! Had a couple of years away from driving and within a year I was able to pass my driving test. It wasn’t always easy but Ian was always positive and believed in me. I couldn’t have gotten to where I am now without his help. So thankful! Fully recommend Ian as a driving instructor as he makes every lesson enjoyable and relaxed.

I’m not sure there’s a word that would quite encapsulate the gratitude that I have for Ian, with how expertly he trained me to pass my test first time. I’ve seen other reviews talk about Ian’s unique teaching style, and I could not agree more, he is incredible at tailoring the experience to the person he is teaching, and I always felt like I was in a safe environment to make a mistake and learn from it. He always put a smile on his face on every lesson and was always very patient with me, and had a great sense of humour with his impressions, and I honestly don’t think I could have a found a better driving instructor.

An amazing instructor, who helped me to build up my confidence behind the wheels and become more aware of others around me.
Always finding ways to help me solve the problems I came across and keeping me calm whenever it became too much, with lots of fun stories. I’ll miss all the crazy jokes and having lots of different characters in the back, reminding me not to spill Bessie’s glass of wine!

Ian‘s very good and reliable at what he does! He helped bring out the confidence in my driving that I lacked and has helped me get on the road quicker than I ever thought I would without feeling rushed! Very calm when things don’t go to plan which makes you feel at ease knowing it’s ok to make mistakes! I highly recommend Ian to anyone, especially people who lack in confidence!

Great person and will always bring your best out. He does acknowledge flaws but tries to find a way to overcome them or ‘meet in the middle’ to help you further your skills. Thank you for all you have done and I hope to see you on the roads.

3 months ago, I had never sat infront of a steering wheel let alone actually drove a car. Today I passed my test first time, with only 4 minors! Ian, right from the very beginning of my learning journey built up my confidence and made sure every aspect of my driving was good. He is always offering very helpful constructive criticism however he never forgets to praise the good skills that you may have. This guy pays great attention to detail and learning to drive with him was an absolute pleasure. I 100% recommend learning with Ian, he is a very good teacher and instructor.

I started learning with Ian a few months ago and honestly he is one of the nicest, funniest guys I’ve met. He calmed my nerves down with my Driving and he helps by breaking the lessons up with his crappy jokes ;). I sure will miss Ian, Bessie and the Queen being in the back of the car with a cup of tea!

Was nervous when I first started but Ian soon Calmed them down, Ian made me feel safe and assured me that I was doing fine!! Very easy to get along with!! Would recommend Ian to anyone! Fantastic driving Instructor!!

The best instructor you’ll ever ask for, I passed my test first time in just a few weeks, thanks to Ian. He pushed me out of my comfort zone, while making sure he supported me, and in turn this encouraged me to grow and adapt to different situations, that you’d deal with in reality. Ian is an absolutely great instructor, he is such a credit to drive Johnson's!! After being with a previous driving instructor who was clearly just out for my money and was not helping me to improve my driving at all. I approached Ian and I had approximately 6 lessons with him and I passed my driving test no problem. I am now driving about and loving every minute of it all thanks to Ian, I would highly recommend him without a doubt.

Ian is not only a fantastic teacher but he is also a great guy. He has trained me throughout my journey to become a driving instructor and I am delighted to say that with his expert help and advice I have passed each test first time.

A lot of that is down to Ian's expert teaching style. I can only hope to be half the instructor he is going forward in my new career.

Ian is a really competent driving instructor willing to not only spend his time to help you pass a test but prepare you for independent driving. Ian is a kind, empathetic and knowledgable instructor. His ability to tailor his lessons and approach to his students is exemplary. I am a PDI and so needed help with my part 2. Even being a seasoned driver, I was very nervous. Ian knew exactly how to help me which led to an excellent pass after his lessons. I cannot rate Ian more highly. I will drive for over two hours for him to teach my Son, so that’s high praise indeed.

Ian taught my older brother to drive so there was hesitation in asking him. I was nervous for a start and he walked me through every step explaining everything and building up my confidence. He is always punctual his car is always immaculate. Have already recommended to various friends. Thank you for all your support

I learnt with Ian and I passed my driving test first time! He’s a really good instructor and is very good at making you feel comfortable and building confidence. He gives really trustworthy advice and is able to change his lessons to suit you as an individual. He lets you choose what you want to do in the lesson and if you’re not sure, he’ll always have an idea in mind. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better driving instructor!

Brilliant instructor, can't recommend anyone else other than Ian, when there's obstacles in learning to drive, Ian is brilliant for you to overcome them (from my experience). Highly recommend as I've passed my test 1st time with him.
