Jon Sears was fantastic. He honestly made me feel so comfortable and he was so laid back which just meant that I could focus on driving and not have to worry about anything else. It felt great to learn with him and I am so happy he was my teacher.

A really great instructor and all-around nice guy. Paul showed great patience and helped me loads in in increasing my confidence on the road. He identified my areas of weakness and focused on turning them into my strengths. Always pleasant and friendly to drive and chat with. Took me from being a very nervous novice to a confident road user looking forward to spending more time behind the wheel.

Drive Johnsons is a good driving school, but the best driving instructor is Paul, very patient and a very good teacher who helped me to pass my test. Strongly recommended!

Good instructor passed on my third go, addressed every problem after failing and worked out to be a good teacher and generally a nice guy, drive johnsons is the way.

After making over 20 calls and being told everywhere was fully booked, I managed to get a lesson booked with Drivejohnsons, and since then, I have had lessons weekly with my instructor Sean Smith. He is an excellent instructor. I would recommend him to anyone.

Paul was a very pacient instructor, and it took a while but he helped me pass. He's a calm instructor and goes over anything that you might struggle with.
When I first started driving I was not confident at all , I had never been behind the wheel of a car. Paul was absolutely brilliant when it came to building up my confidence and getting me on the roads . He is very experienced and knows exactly what he’s doing. I couldn’t have hoped for a better instructor, and I highly recommend Paul, they don’t come any better.

When you take driving lessons in Market Harborough, you will need to take your test in another location. Your closest three options are Kettering, Northampton and Wellingborough.
However, we will make sure that once you are a comfortable driver, you begin learning where you want to take your test. This means that we won't long your lessons out and make you learn in an area that won't benefit your chances of passing.
Market Harborough has several great places to develop your skills as you are learning to drive. One, in particular, is the car park behind the Roebuck just off of the A4304, Rockingham Road. The best part of practising here is that it has a lot of wide-open spaces and places for you to practice your parking. It is generally much quieter than other spots, and it allows you to nail bay parking without the pressure of other cars.
If you want to practice car control and turning, then a great place to do this is Chatsworth Drive. This is because it is a long quiet road that has left and right turns in. The benefit to practising along this road is that it not only helps you practice the basics once you have reached the end of the road, but you can also then go down Audley Close.
When you begin taking driving lessons in Market Harborough with our local instructors, they will make sure you have a robust set of basic skills before they start to add more and more techniques. The fundamentals you will learn are the car's controls, adjusting the seat and mirrors, what pedal does what, moving off and stopping and how to steer.
Once you have developed these skills, you can then begin to tackle scenarios that involve more road users. These include joining major and minor roads, turning left from major to minor roads, turning right from major to minor roads, which is more difficult than turning left and tackling t-junctions.
