After having a bad experience with another teacher it was nice to finally have someone who’s teaching style suited my personality. I am having my test soon and I am very confident thanks to my instructor!
I came to Drive Johnsons after trying another company and by far this is the best company I have had. Not only did my instructor help me with my lessons and helped me pass my driving test the company sent me a theory link from Theory Test pro and I passed my Theory first time. Thank you to the best instructor - Happy days.
Was unsure how to go about booking for lessons never driven before. So when i called DriveJohnsons i was very nervous. But the staff in the office was so helpful and guided me through all the information i needed and i got myself booked in. Don’t think i would have even gone ahead with lessons had it not been for the person i spoke to. Big Thankyou.

I lost my license 2 years ago as I had it revoked. I came to Drive Johnsons and did 6 hours with my instructor. I had to do an extended test and passed.
I was very nervous about learning to drive at first but Richard was recommended by my friends. So glad i decided to go for it. Richard is the most patient and funniest guy i have met. Really made me feel at ease on my first lesson. Cant wait for next lesson.
I absolutely LOVED my lessons!! They were always so much fun with my instructor Richard Bonnett and I’m glad that I was paired with him. I passed my test yesterday & really would recommend trying Drive Johnson if you need to learn.
Richard Bonnett is an amazing isntructor and if you want to pass as a confident driver then make sure you choose to learn with him.

Your driving instructor in Newhaven will ask you about your previous experience. If you have not had any previous lessons, that is fine as many people have not had any previous experience. During this chat, your driving instructor will also go over the basics of the car, and they will do an eyesight check and check your provisional licence.
Once this is done, your instructor will then begin your driving lesson in a quiet area. They will cover moving off and stopping, clutch control, the different pedals and how to steer. You will always begin in a quiet area away from cars and other road users to learn at your own pace.
