Everyone requires a different amount of driving lessons to reach a driving test standard. After your first driving lesson, your instructor will be able to give you an idea of how many lessons you're likely to need.
What we can tell you now though is that by learning with us you will pass faster than with any other driving school. On average last year, pupils learning to drive with us passed after 26 hours of tuition. We also regularly have pupils passing in 10-15 hours from scratch!
Yes, we do offer a range of driving instructors who teach automatic driving lessons in Nottingham. These instructors, like our manual instructors, all come with a Grade A rating, along with several testimonials from previous learners.
When learning to drive an automatic vehicle with us, we will make sure that we work with you to help you improve. We do this by pairing you with an instructor that you not only feel comfortable with, but one who will adapt to your method of learning.
We have a whole host of instructors locally, including women driving instructors, all of whom are capable of making you a confident driver.
Our female instructors are rated a minimum of 4.5 out of 5 stars by their students. To book your lessons with one of our female driving instructors in Nottingham, call our friendly Bookings Team today.
We are often contacted by students from the University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent University, and we understand the needs of students in the area.
Whether you are in sixth form, college, university or work, we can help everyone learn to drive. When it comes to taking your lessons, we can work around your schedule to make sure your lessons suit you. If you are free on certain days or can only do 2 hours in the morning, just let us know and we can help find you a local driving instructor who can help you.
Depending on your driving experience, you will likely begin your driving lessons in Nottingham in a quiet residential road, such as Millidge Close, where you can learn the basic controls of the car away from distractions. You will start off by learning how to move off and stop the car, changing gears, clutch control and how to steer.
You'll soon start practising turning left and right from a major to minor road in one of the quieter areas around the city, for example, Broxtowe or Snape Wood. The warren of roads around Bulwell is the perfect place to practice emerging from open and closed T Junctions. As the city is situated on hills, there are many places that are ideal for getting to grips with hill starts - Rise Park being just one of them.
Once you are feeling confident, your driving instructor will be taking you on the busier A and B roads. You will soon find yourself mastering roundabouts, junctions and dual carriageways driving on the A60. As you progress, your instructor will also familiarise you with the most popular test routes for the local test centres to make sure that you feel comfortable tackling any tricky hotspots on the day of your test.
Rest assured that your driving lessons in Nottingham will be tailored to your needs and progress at a speed you are comfortable with.
If you are looking for quality driving lessons with a driving school that looks after its learners, we are the school for you. We can help you no matter your driving experience. If you're a beginner then we will take you to a calm and quiet area to build up your confidence such as Blenheim industrial estate, Hucknall, Beechdale & Aspley, and Bilborough, to name a few.
If you are coming to us from another driving school in Nottingham with experience then we will take note of your previous driving experience and start your lessons in an area you feel comfortable in. Once you are familiar with the car and loving our teaching style, we will then move you on to subjects you haven't covered, whilst getting you familiar with some of the test routes at the same time. With both test centres (Colwick and Chilwell) being so far away from each other, it's important to choose the test centre you want to take your test at and then practice in around those areas. All of our driving instructors in Nottingham are test route specialists so they will show you the popular local test routes and offer you mock tests, fully preparing for the big day.
