If you notice the examiner marking something on the marking sheet, don't panic! There are other elements of the test that they need to mark, which doesn't mean you have received a recorded fault. They have to mark down when a manoeuvre, hill start, angled moving off, and more are completed.
You can fail your test for driving too slow or too fast. Don't make sudden changes if you sense the examiner is looking over at your speedo. Just gently come off the gas or gently apply more depending on if you are going too slow or fast.

Frequently asked questions...
What happens on my first driving lesson in Perivale?
Your driving instructor in Perivale will ask you about any previous driving experience you may have had. If you have not had any previous lessons, that is fine as many people have not had any previous experience. During this initial chat, your driving instructor will also go over the basics of the car, plus they will do an eyesight check and check your provisional licence.
Once this is done, your instructor will begin your driving lesson in a quiet area. They will cover moving off and stopping, clutch control, the different pedals and how to steer. You will always begin in a quiet area away from cars and other road users to learn at your own pace.
