Firstly, your instructor will check both your eyesight and provisional driving licence to make sure that it is safe for you to drive. You will then have a quick conversation about your experience and, if you have never driven before, you will be taken to a quiet area. During your lesson, your instructor will go through the basics of driving, what pedal does what, who to steer, how to change gear, along with showing you around the car.
