Learning Rob was one of the easiest experiences ever. Even when I started and I couldn't drive in the slightest he helped me to figure out the best way to drive and taught me the way that worked best for me. Thank you Rob you smashed it
Rob is an outstanding teacher, he has a great way of working with people and really helped me learn to drive, I am an anxious person and he was able to always calm me down and make it feel like it was second nature and I will forever be thankful to him.
Megan was absolutely amazing, I started learning with here a few months ago with plenty of things to work on, and left with my license on my first try !! I could not recommend her more to anyone, she is nice and polite and just a pleasure to be around. Let’s not forget how great of an instructor she is !!

Mishearing the odd direction is normal - just ask the examiner in plenty of time so you can continue to plan and drive safely.

When waiting at a roundabout, obviously your danger comes from the right, but keep your head agile and keep glancing ahead too. Look out for that car, van or lorry going ahead that is going to block your right and allow you to go.

You will find a variety of hazards and tasks driving through the High Street in Rushden Town Centre. Once you've mastered driving around the local Rushden area, you will start practising your test routes, wasting no time. You will most likely decide on taking your driving test in Kettering, travelling here via the A6 and getting great experience on a busy dual carriageway. Our instructors will ensure that you are familiar with test routes and with what you may be asked to do on the day of your test - just don't forget, on the day of your test, you can't be too observant.
Firstly, your driving instructor in Rushden will check both your eyesight and provisional driving licence. You will then have a quick conversation about your experience and, if you have never driven before, you will be taken to a quiet residential area in Rushden, such as Sunningdale Drive, where you can practice moving off and stopping, and get familiar with the car controls.
Once the lesson is over, you will have a quick debrief. Your instructor will also record what you covered along with any advice or guidance that has been given to you for next time and for you to look at outside of lessons should you wish to.
