When turning left out of the Scarborough test centre, if asked to take the first available right turn, remember that the first right junction is a No Entry road. Some examiners may help you see this (some may not), and of course, it is important to always look out for signs, but on the test day you will be less flustered if you take note of this and plan to take the second right.

If you notice the examiner marking something on the marking sheet, don't panic! There are other elements of the test that they need to mark, which doesn't mean you have received a recorded fault. They have to mark down when a manoeuvre, hill start, angled moving off, and more is completed.

Yes we do. We have instructors that work Saturday and Sunday all day and up to 8pm on certain days of the week. So whatever your availability is, we can work with you to fit your lessons into your schedule.
With Scarborough being surrounded by many rural country roads expect to cover some country roads, especially on the 8:10 am test routes. Your test centre is in Eastfield, so it's not uncommon to head towards Saxton and Filey as well as these are easily accessible with a 5-minute drive.
Fear not, whatever route you come across our driveJohnson's approved instructor would have covered it with you during your lessons or within a mock test.
If you're starting off learning as a complete beginner, you will start of in quieter areas such as Newbury and Cayton areas. In these quiet areas you will learn the basics of driving, reaching up to 3rd gear. When you're ready to progress you will move onto more complex driving, tackling busy junctions and Scarborough town centre for example. Towards the end of your learning, you will be driving on tricky junctions, roundabouts and one way systems, as well as driving the test routes during your lessons.
