Just passed today! Took a few attempts but I'd have never made it to this point without him. Really straight forward approach to teaching and can adapt to find what methods suit individual learners. He's also just a really nice guy who can make you feel relaxed as a nervous or stressed driver. Couldn't recommend him enough!

I struggled to pass with another instructor but thankfully I switched over to Drivejohnson and Tracey and I was able to pass on my first try with her.

If you notice the examiner marking something on the marking sheet, don't panic! There are other elements of the test that they need to mark, which doesn't mean you have received a recorded fault. They have to mark down when a manoeuvre, hill start, angled moving off, and more is completed.

It's a classic, but many learners think they should offset their mirrors, so they must move their heads more during the test. You should be able to check your mirrors by moving your eyes - not your head. The examiners are trained to look out for eye checks rather than head movements. Moving your head may cause the examiner to think your mirrors are not set up correctly.

Living in the quiet town of Shefford is lovely if you have a driving licence. If you don't have a driving licence, then you may be feeling the restrictions and lack of freedom. We have a handful of local Shefford instructors who are willing to accommodate your driving lessons in Shefford. However, once you have learnt the basics, you will need to start taking your lessons in either Letchworth or Cardington/Bedford as these are your closest test centres. Once you have decided, you may want to consider taking two-hour lessons as the travel time to either test centre is a minimum of 15-20 minutes.
