It's a classic, but many learners think they should offset their mirrors, so they must move their heads more during the test. You should be able to check your mirrors by moving your eyes - not your head. The examiners are trained to look out for eye checks rather than head movements. Moving your head may cause the examiner to think your mirrors are not set up correctly.

There is a test centre located about 15 minutes away in Southampton. Should you book your test there, your driving instructor will ensure that you have driving lessons in Southampton ahead of your test to familiarise you with the popular test routes so that you feel confident to tackle any tricky areas on the day. They can also carry out mock tests to give you a feel for how your driving test is likely to go and any areas that you might need to strengthen beforehand.
