Massive, massive thank you to the most amazing instructor in the UK! Can't believe I passed my test today with zero minors. I was so nervous but Robert calmed me down enough and gave good advice at the end as well as throughout all the lessons. Passing the test with zero minors makes me a pro now right? Thank you Robert!
I passed in early 2016 with Robert's help after a failed test about 8 years beforehand. Initially I was a little nervous having not driven for 8 years but Robert is truly a great teacher and explains things in total sense. I passed with 2 minors and still drive as if he was sitting next to me giving feedback. Top guy.

I have learnt with 3 other driving instructors before Robert. I found driving hard but Robert made it easier to understand. He was very patient and I liked his teaching style. I was nervous before the test but he made me feel less nervous with some great last minute advice.

I was looking for an instructor who was patient and calm, I had a previous instructor that wasn't any of these things and it made learning so difficult for me. The Siston Centre, Station Road, Kingswood, Bristol BS15 4GQMany learners fail their manoeuvre because they rush it. They get concerned about keeping other road users waiting. It's good to be considerate of other road users, but on your test, you have got to go nice and slow so you have time to do all the observations needed. The faster you do the manoeuvre, the faster your observations should be. You know what to do - keep your speed slow so you have time to observe!

A classic question is what you should wear for your driving test?
It’s not a job interview and you’re not going to a night club. Our best advice is wear clean clothes you feel comfortable in. Wear shoes or trainers that have a thin sole so you can feel the pedals better.

The location of Trowbridge allows for you to learn both country roads like Westwood Road and busier roads, like Frome Road (A361), running through the middle of the town. You may also get the opportunity to join the A350, which is the main route across the South of England to Poole, and exit it. But first, you'll learn the basics of driving in the much less busy areas of Marston Road and College Road practising those turns and hitting those manoeuvres, before heading into the much busier town to deal with more complex junctions, turnings, traffic lights and roundabouts - just like the one on County Way with 6 exits!

We have several driving instructors in Trowbridge. All of them have been handpicked by us and rated a minimum of 4.5 out of 5 stars by their pupils. If you want to begin in Trowbridge and finish your driving lessons in Devizes at the Wiltshire Museum, then this can be arranged. We put our learners needs first, and all of our instructors can teach you between multiple locations. Due to this, if you need to start and finish in two separate locations, we only ask you to let your driving instructor know before your lesson to plan the best route and lesson.
