Driving lessons in Westminster

Being so close to the heart of government and the many world-famous landmarks such as the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye and Buckingham Palace, Westminster is certainly one of the more fascinating places where you can learn to drive!Despite its central London location, there are a surprising number of places surrounding Westminster where learner drivers can gain confidence. If you’re new to driving, your driveJohnson's instructor will have plenty of areas in mind where you can relax and pick up the basics. The Churchill Gardens Estate is one such area for example; so too are the streets centred around Vincent Square and Horseferry Road. A short distance away, on the other side of the River Thames, there are even more places such as Black Prince Road, Brook Drive (behind the Imperial War Museum) and Lambeth Walk. Once you feel confident, your instructor will help you begin to master real London driving; including the system around Victoria, the mighty Hyde Park Corner gyratory and the system around Parliament Square (which happens to be the location where the world’s very first traffic lights were installed…although they were gas powered and exploded shortly after being unveiled!) You will also learn how to deal with the many bus and cycle lanes which define many of Westminster’s roads. Our instructors can arrange to meet you at any suitable point in Westminster including stations such as St James’s Park, Pimlico and Green Park.
