Excellent driving instructor Paul took the time to get to know me and how I best learn he made me feel at ease straight away and made me feel like I can do this.
I have multiple learning disabilities adhd autism dyslexia to name a few and Paul understood that I had specific learning requirements. I have had lessons in the past but nothing ever seemed to sink in Paul works with me and my brain in a way no one has been able to before and it’s all sinking in since learning with Paul.

Sunil was great from start to finish. He taught me from scratch, All the road awareness, all the different signs and road markings, speed limits which helped towards my theory test which i passed with help through Drive Johnsons. I passed in about 3 month worth of lesson. Cheers Sunil

Sunil was the most amazing driving instructor. As a learner driver that was new to Leicester I was incredibly anxious about the test and driving in general - Sunil was amazing and helped to ease my worries and helped me pass and feel confident driving!

Paul is an amazing driving instructor! He is very patient, clear and makes me feel very relaxed behind the wheel. He has a good sense of humour and he's very good at staying calm + keeping me calm when I panic. I'm so happy he's now my instructor as I never had this experience from the last.

Massive thanks for sunil helping me get test ready and pass first time! Always had a great chat with him during the lessons and he made it engaging. Every time I slipped up he always made sure that I pick up on my mistakes whilst also making it fun and informative so I brush up and remember important pointers ready for the big test day.

Would definitely recommend him as a driving instructor, very welcoming and encouraging down to the very end. 10/10 !

Paul is an excellent all-round driving instructor who has been fundamental in helping me understand all principles of driving thus enabling to acquire the skills to pass my test. He is able to cater to the strengths and needs of any learner, whilst simultaneously aiding them in overcoming their weaknesses. Throughout my time learning, he continuously showed great levels of enthusiasm and understanding. Whenever a problem arose, he always offered a multitude of solutions which evidently illustrates great knowledge and passion for his profession. Therefore, I highly recommend Paul as an instructor to any learner with any level of experience.

First time pass with Paul!! He's such a patient and calm instructor. I tried a few different instructors before I found Paul and I'm so glad I did. His teaching style is calming, so if you're anxious about getting behind the wheel he is a good choice for you. He always encourages you to be reflective at the end of a lesson, thinking about what went well and what you can focus on to improve next lesson. Paul has really high standards for his students, which was actually such a good thing because he would warn me about lots of smaller errors that perhaps other instructors dont draw attention to and it meant I found the test easy. Never thought I'd say that!! Don't hesitate- get in touch with Paul!

Sunil was a great at helping me adjust to an unfamiliar leicester area. I initially had a lot of experience down in London, but there were some areas of my driving that needed touching up such as my manoeuvres and reference points and Sunil helped out very well with them. Overall, he’s a funny, calm and helpful instructor whom I highly recommend.

There are many types of driving instructor, you can get cubic zirconia or you can get diamond. Paul is a diamond! I took my first step back into driving after an absence of 25 years, extremely nervous and having never really had much confidence in the first place. With low expectations I have learned so many techniques in my first refresher lesson I can’t believe it. I expected to drive round an industrial estate for hours tbh. I have learned how to parallel park, park in a bay at Sainsbury’s and drive in busy traffic in just two hours. I still have some relearning but also learning to do as my past instructors never got me in and out of the car looking at where I’ve just put the car and importantly why and how. I never really understood why some things I did worked and some didn’t, I’m getting to see the theory of it which is what I personally need to feel happier behind the wheel. Paul says he will teach you what you need to learn to drive for life not to get through a driving test and I totally believe it. I only wish he’d been able to teach me those years ago. Certainly does what he says on the tin! And anybody lacking in confidence or skills would benefit from some time with him.

I would like to thank driveJohnsons for all there help. They sent me a great instructor in Sunil, they got me an earlier driving test when I needed it too. Brilliant company - I would definitely recommend.

I was very nervous about starting to drive, but Paul immediately made me feel at ease and has been very patient. He explains things very clearly with reasoning and he very much takes the lessons at the pace the learner is comfortable with. I would highly recommend him!

I had my first lesson with Paul today and it was a great experience. He thoroughly explained what I had to do and even demonstrated it so I had an idea of what to do. I felt calmer once the lesson started and I am looking forward to future lessons

Safe to say, if you're looking for an instructor who is patient and understanding, Paul is the one. I had a great first driving lesson today and it couldn't have gone better, he is very supportive and always explains exactly what he is doing thoroughly and if you don't understand anything, he will always make sure you do, highly recommended :)

It was my first lesson back after a year out, driving in an auto car for the first time and I was made to feel completely at ease. Paul explained everything that was going on and what was to happen, pushed me through my comfort zone and made it such a comfortable experience!

After a month away from driving,i felt really assured after taking driving lessons with Paul.

I really wanted to know where i am with my driving and the kind of progress i had made and that was made very clear to me. Great instructor, explains everything well as well as being very supportive when u encounter obstacles. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

With being an older learner I didn't how many lessons I would need but my instructor Sunil Assessed me and gave me accurate estimation which was right and I needed about 30 hours. I passed after 30 hours with great thanks to Sunil.

Sunil is the best driving instructor that I could ever ask for, he’s calm and super friendly. He’s helped me passed my driving test on the first try and honestly without him, I probably would have failed. I couldn’t have asked for a better instructor than him. I started my driving lessons with Pual from August. I have just past my test on Friday on my first attempt.Pual is a very reliable instructor, he always points out all my mistakes through my driving at the same time he gives me the confidence I need too. I used Paul Reilly with Drive Johnson’s. Having previously had lessons outside the company, coming to drive Johnson’s was definitely for the better! Sunil is an incredible driving instructor. I passed today all thanks to Sunil ! , And Sunil is a wonderful teacher and is very focused and patient and knows how to explain everything well so that it's easy to understand and remember. The lessons were very well planned and structured, all my mistakes pointed out and corrected effectively. He managed to remember each of the skills we practiced in previous lessons and knew what was important to focus on. I had my first lesson and i found him really patient, informative, friendly and smart. He explains everything logically and spots quickly where you are struggling. He corrects your mistake nicely without making you anxious and explains you of the rules you should respect even if you make the same mistake several times. Definitely recommended for everyone.

Amazing driving instructor, Paul got to know me, and how I learn best in a way that wasn't forceful and me ease up.
After a few driving instructors bailed out, mostly through constant lesson cancellations, Paul was overall very clear and thorough in his messages and procedures.
Paul was very strategic and very well planned when it comes to the lessons and also has great patience and is amazing at explaining what you need to be doing and WHY you need to be doing it in whichever way.
