Conveniently, you have a driving test centre on your doorstep, as there is a driving test centre in Worksop itself where you can take your practical driving test. This is located on Coach Road to the north west of Worksop, and is not to be confused with the Theory Test Centre in Worksop, which is situated nearer the centre of town, along Memorial Avenue.

• You will start off in a quiet residential area in Worksop, like Thackeray Close, where you can practice moving off, stopping, steering and the basic car controls away from traffic.
• Once you have mastered these skills, you'll be driving around quieter parts of town, such as Kilton, to practice turning left and right, emerging from T Junctions and manoeuvres.
• As you gain confidence, you will be driving around busier parts of Worksop, tackling the busy Watson Road and Gateford Road, and roundabouts. You will practice dual carriageway driving on the A57 and find your driving lessons take you increasingly further afield outside of Worksop.
• Nearer to your test, your driving instructor will teach you motorway driving on the M1 and have you practising the test routes you may face for the test centre you have chosen to take your test at, likely the one in Worksop.
