Experience & About Me
When I got made redundant after 20 years working for the same company, it gave me the push I needed to take on the challenge of becoming a driving instructor! Previously, I had been an office manager and although I enjoyed it, it was the same day to day. My favourite part was welcoming new staff members and training them on the job, so a move into being an instructor didn’t seem too far-fetched. Being an instructor, I love meeting new pupils and learning about them and how they tick, finding ways to make learning easier. One of my favourite things about teaching people to drive is when they master something they have struggled with, and the pride they feel when they have got something right that they thought they’d never be able to do.

Memorable Moment
My first ever teaching lesson and my pupil mounted a kerb, drove over grass and was headed towards a tree. That was a definite learning experience for both of us!
