Who we are
We are a national driving school with approximately 400 driving instructors, covering many areas across the UK. We are based in Newport Pagnell, Milton Keynes.
We consistently take over 600 bookings a week and during busy periods we exceed 1000 bookings a week.
On top of that, we have instructors wanting to join our company every week.
The company has coped well during COVID-19 and now is the time for us to kick on and try to gain new instructors in areas where we need a bigger presence. That’s where you come in!
Who we are looking for
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, bubbly, hard working and enjoys a challenge. The right candidate should have previous office experience and possess excellent customer service skills.
The ideal candidate will be required to help troubleshoot, resolve any issues, as well as taking the time to provide training and coaching to an existing team.
The role will also involve managing and delegation of the day-to-day work load, attending weekly meetings and ensuring compliance across all administration functions.
The ideal candidate will have experience of supervising or managing a team within a busy service department. They should also have the ability to train, coach and delegate work loads.
Minimum requirements and qualifications
- GCSE Maths and English
- Supervisory experience
- Experience working in an office (minimum 2 years)
- Customer service experience essential
- Technical administration experience
- Computer literate – in particular Word and Excel
Other requirements
- Must be very positive, confident and a team player
- Brilliant communicator with warmth and humility
- Must be willing to assist in other areas of the business
- You will take your own learning and development seriously and will have a naturally curious mindset
- Must have good English writing skills.
Main activities include
- Answering the phone and working closely with the bookings team to work efficiently as possible
- Liaising with instructors verbally and virtually, ensuring their reasonable needs are taken care of
- Update the website and social media platforms occasionally
- Ensure all daily tasks are completed
- Manage customer complaints to resolution within timescales
- Provide training and support to the team to ensure competency and personal development is achieved
- Maintain the team’s knowledge of the business
- Look out for industry updates and changes to the business and update management and staff accordingly
- Any other additional duties that may be deemed necessary to fulfil your duties.
Salary: This position has been filled
Someone with the minimum requirements and experience will start on the lower end of the salary.
Working hours: 9am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday
You will be required to work 1 weekend in 4.
Training
We don’t expect many applicants to be coming to us from a previous driving school with the relevant industry experience, so full training will be provided covering our industry and how the business operates.
Applicants with past office experience should believe they have many skills which are transferrable from their past work.
