Rubel Hassan (July) & Lee Ashby (August)!
Congratulations to both of you from all of us here in the office on being named Instructor of the Month for July & August! These awards are very well-deserved, and we’re all pleased to see you recognised for your hard work.
Rubel Hasan provides automatic driving lessons in Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas. He joined driveJohnson’s in August 2025 and passed his Part 3 exam to become a fully qualified ADI in July 2026. Calm, supportive and reassuring, Rubel is particularly good at helping nervous learners feel comfortable and confident behind the wheel.

Lee is an automatic driving instructor in Northamptonshire, primarily covering Rushden, Wellingborough and the surrounding areas. He joined driveJohnson’s in 2021 and has been a fully qualified ADI for over 15 years. With his wealth of experience and friendly, approachable manner, Lee is particularly skilled at helping nervous learners feel calm and at ease, creating a positive and supportive environment in which to learn.

I was struggling to find an automatic instructor and was lucky enough to find an opening with driveJohnson’s. Through them, I had the pleasure of having Lee as a driving instructor, and I definitely recommend Lee to anyone learning to drive. I was quite a nervous learner when I started, but he was always really patient with me and knew how to keep things light and relaxed. He was easy to chat to and joke around with, while also being able to step in and correct me when needed, and always took the time to properly explain something if I had any questions. I also really appreciated that he’d call after a lesson to debrief what happened once I’d had some time to process it. He always made sure to balance the positive and the negative and was always open to questions on anything I was unsure about! It was really helpful and made a big difference to my confidence. Thanks to all the help and patience I passed my test first time!
