Yasmin Youdle

I have really enjoyed my driving lessons with Paul, I was a very nervous learner, Paul made learning to drive seem really easy, I have now passed thanks to Paul.

Mark Saunders

Paul is the most encouraging and positive person I know. In the beginning I was nervous about driving and thought I was slow compared to other people, but Paul encourages me constantly. He is hilarious and honestly makes driving lessons fun.

Giselle Donkor

I had the best time learning with driveJohnson's and Sadia Nasir. She was straightforward to talk to and learn from, and I can't thank her enough. It is thanks to her that I passed without any minor faults.

Test Tip Of The Month For Loughton

You can fail your test for driving too slow or too fast. Don't make sudden changes if you sense the examiner is looking over at your speedo. Just gently come off the gas or gently apply more depending on if you are going too slow or fast.

Useful Driving Test Tip For Loughton

When you approach junctions, keep checking until you've decided to go. If the junction is blind, try leaning forward and moving your head as if watching a tennis match. If it's blind, don't be afraid to wind the window down to try and hear anything while you are creeping out to improve your view.

Frequently asked questions...

This really varies from person to person and we wouldn't want to get your hopes up with false claims. On average, a complete beginner will require 23-24 hours of driving tuition with us before they are test ready; however, this can be considerably less or more. With our intensive courses pupils take on average 1-4 weeks to pass their driving test. We will never put you forward for your driving test unless we're 100% sure that you're ready for it.

Yes, our driving instructors can pick you up from any of the surrounding areas, whether that is in London or outside of Loughton. We're happy to pick you up and drop you off in the local area and a location that suits you. So whether you live in Loughton, High Beach or Debden, we can collect you at your convenience.

On your first driving lesson, do make sure you have your provisional driving licence with you because your driving instructor will need to see this before they can start teaching you to drive. Other than this, you just need to bring yourself and a willingness to learn!
