Useful Driving Test Tip For Blackburn
Sometimes when you are doing a manoeuvre, especially the parallel and bay parks, you may finish and the examiner says, "Have you completely finished?" If they ask you this, they might be hinting that your car isn't close enough to the kerb or isn't in the bay enough (some learners don’t go all the way back into the bay). If this is the case, just double-check your position. If you see something that needs correcting, just say, "Not quite" and adjust the car to where it needs to be.

Frequently asked questions...
Yes, we do. We have a fantastic team of automatic driving instructors in Blackburn, ready to help you learn. So whether you're looking to start your lessons in an automatic vehicle or you want to switch from manual driving lessons, we will be able to help you.
While the town centre is great for learning to drive in busier conditions, your instructor will build up your confidence in quieter areas first, such as Rishton or Feniscowles. The Cherry Tree estate, for instance, offers perfect opportunities to begin mastering those left turns and clutch control, as well as thoroughly getting to grips with all vehicle controls. Moving onto the A674 when you are ready, you will be guided through trickier traffic conditions, such as the crossroads next to Blackburn College and the T-Junction at the end of Wainwright Way.
Approaching your test, your instructor will get you used to roads around the Blackburn in Darwen test centre and those used during popular test routes. You’ll be more than ready to tackle the large roundabout leading onto Earcroft Way and perfect your parallel park technique around parked cars on Lynwood Avenue. By the time your practical comes around, you will feel incredibly confident after learning with driveJohnsons and ready to join our ‘pass first time’ club!
When it comes to choosing where to drive, you should first decide where you spend more time. If that is in Blackburn, then driving lessons in Blackburn would be more beneficial. However, if you find that you would have more time to learn in Rossendale, then choosing to have your driving lessons in Rossendale may work better with your schedule.
If you find your time is split between the two or want to take your test in Blackburn, we can always help you by having your lessons between the two areas. We can do this by having your instructor pick you up in one area and give you a detailed lesson that ends in your chosen location.
