Lucky you - you get to do your driving lessons in Filey, along the stunning East coast! The roads in Filey seem to be perfectly set up to learn to drive in with plenty of natural progression opportunities.
If you're a beginner driver, you'll start your driving lessons in a quiet, not busy area. Cawthorne Crescent and Pasture Crescent are often used by our instructors as they are quiet, long roads enabling you to complete many move off and stops without having to turn the car around. Once you've got the hang of that, there are also plenty of places for you to do left and right turns and cover T-junctions.
Once you're more confident, you can leave the residential area and head onto the A1039, a larger road which will introduce you roundabouts - both mini and medium sized. Then, you can head out onto the 60mph A165 rural road to learn how to control the car at speed.
The only caveat of learning to drive in Filey is that there is no local driving test centre, meaning you'll have to head up to Eastfield, on the outskirts of Scarborough, to take your test. Don't worry though - once you are ready, you can drive up there with your driveJohnson's instructor and practise driving on the roads likely to be used on your driving test.
